Seedlings growing very slow

I am growing cannatonic. I have started them in 16oz cups indoors. germination I plant in regular potting soil and when they sprout, their growth slows way down. It’s been over one week and they still have no secondary leave. just the little leafs above their baby leaves. Is the 16oz cup too big to start seedlings? Thanks for any advice.

16oz is pretty normal.

How often are you watering and how much? Chances are you’re over watering, I did the same thing at the begining.

Humidity?

Temp?

Water PH?

Grow medium?

No need to water at this early in life. Just get a clear plastic cup, spritz inside with distilled water, and place over sprout. They are building roots in the beginning and taking in what they need from humidity through their first leaves.

Humidity- 22%, 82 degrees, Grow medium - potting soil, Water PF - unknown. Thanks for your advice.

Yeah, you definitely need domes. Seedlings like 60-80% humidity. And as stated above, don’t water them directly. Water the dome and cover.

If you meant PH a PH pen would be a good investment.

Think of root building and growth like a rocket blasting off into space… the engines firing and building up propulsion is your roots building that propulsion system underground… when they take off, hang on cause itll be a magical ride!

I’m gonna find some domes. How do you get humidity up in a closed tent? Won’t the fan just suck it out? Thanx Diesel, Jim Miller

One more query. How many times per day do you re-mist the domes? How long can the seedlings stay under the dome - don’t they need air? ty

Ill probably catch hell for this but i havent used an exhaust fan since I started.

My tent is in a cold dry basement so I needed to add heat and humidty. I leave a top round vent open and one of the bottom screen vents cracked and that seems to provide enough fresh air without changing thd climate too much.

I have a small clip fan for air circulation

I would only mist once they start to dry out. They’ll get enough oxygen dont worry. Also, make sure you have drain holes in you cups. Keep the cups elevated on a wire rack if poalssible, helps with draining and getting air in there.

Shame on you… :v:
