This plant is a cafe racer, and is 4 weeks 2 days old. I fimmed a couple days ago. My question is, should I think about removing the enormous fan leaves covering the limbs, or should I just leave them and wait for the limbs to grow long enough to get out from under those leaves. I don’t want to stress it, so I’m not sure. I’ve never been big on defoliation, but this plant seems to be growing a little differently than I’m used to.
I’d just tuck them if possible. But either way, the branches will grow over them soon enough. Looks nice and healthy!!!
U been around dex… you know there is opinions for it all…trust your gut. I massacre my plants and they love it. There will be plenty more “solar panels” as alot of the other guys put it. Worry more about keeping the feed on point.
Thanks, I’m organic, so feed is pretty much already in the soil.
Leave her be and after you flip and she stretches then defol.
I dont remove any solar panels at this stage. The more she has, the bigger she will get. Once you get close to flower, then you can apply the golden rules, 21 and 42 day defols as needed for light pen and airflow after hedgehogs.
She has completely grown past the pot perimeter. Do you transplant? Just curious…
I’ve already transplanted. It’s in a 7 gal. pot. I usually use 10 gal. but decided to use 7 gal. this time.
