Removing fan leaves

These big fan leaves are looking a little depleted should i remove them or let them go? i was wondering if there needed im 6 weeks into flower. also are they taking energy from buds focusing on fattening up. So far i haven’t had a problem with the bud’s they seem to be fattening up fine but this is my first grow i would appreciate any advice thank you.

The back plant is bigger and drinks alot more then the one in the front i found that out the hard way. She’s 3 weeks into flower and nursing her back her leaves took a little hit . But it hasn’t effected the flowering she seems to be fattening up fine for 3 weeks. Any thoughts?

I’d leave them on if it were me, but it’s probably not going to hurt to remove them. They will still process light, but are just less efficient at doing it than the healthier leaves.

The only defoliation I do to my girls is that needed to maintain good airflow within the plant.

Your plants look great.

I agree, leafs supply energy to build flowers and I don’t defoliate except air flow also. Very nice for a first grow my friend, girls are looking awesome, keep up the good work :+1:

Do you also leave all the small “colas” on the undergrowth as well? I really like how my tent looks bushy but I also dont want to risk issues. The undergrowth is moving from the airflow but not so much up top. Maybe add another fan above?
