Should I go ahead and chop?

So this is my first grow and I’m beginning to become a bit anxious. Strain is WW and it’s an auto. Most of the hairs are brown and calyx are swollen (what I’ve been told to actually go by instead of trichomes) but I’m not getting any amber trichomes on buds just very very few on the sugar leaves. I’m in week 7 going into week 8 in 4 days. I have read that some strains don’t go amber and if you wait you may end up with overripe buds with more cbn & cbd than thc. I’ve also read that peak thc is when the trichomes are clear and anything after that is degradation. I don’t want a couch lock type of high but a more energetic one so wouldn’t it make sense to harvest now as they’re at least 97% milky with no amber.
It also appears to be starting to foxtail as you can see in my 2nd pic.

Also, I’m running a 70/30 coco/perlite mix and want to get opinions on flushing. Since I’m so late in flower I’ve lowered my ppm to around 600 but I’m getting like 1600 in runoff and leaves are a deep vibrant green. Not sure if they high ppms from runoff is coming from all of the salt buildup on the outside of my fabric pots. Maybe the water is picking salt up on the way out and it’s not actually 1600 at the root zone…idk. Sorry this is so long winded but I’m a complete noob and just looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

Too many white pistols, she is still building, keep up the good work my friend, wait until 95% of those pistols to turn orange then check tricomes. Good luck :+1:

I agree with @Dennis62 . Let her ride and fatten up. Happy growing. :v: :slightly_smiling_face:

Week 7 is quite early. As was said above let it ride for a while. Keep checking trichomes, if you want an energetic buzz i would chop at the first sign of any amber trichs. I dont recommend waiting until all pistils have turned orange because some plants will keep spittin out new ones even into late flower.
