I think I’d wait – looks like lots of white pistils still – but I can’t see super well on my phone.

Looks like a lil more time needed. Make sure you are getting bud shots and not sugar leaves. Try to follow the hairs back into you bud and get a pic there. Your probably weeks away. Maybe start just plain water and keep checking

Funny you should mention white pistils.
I top dressed on 6/1/22 with worm casting and I know this going to sound stupid but in the case of 2-11 it seemed to encourage her to start kicking out more white hairs but I’m usually wrong about these things.
@Kingkupa also.
GRNYGROWS:Anxious I guess.
It should be noted that I would like to catch these kids while I have a bud that is not a sedative and while I understand Indica typically gives the "sleepy couchlock you aint doin shic for a while now boys and girls ", it is my understanding that if you get them at the right time you can mitigate some of that.
Given that I just don’t want to overshoot that mark.
If I do by some chance miss the mark I have 3 more whacks at it with her older siblings
She is the youngest of the bunch @ 68 days while the others are on day 75.

King Kupa: My max see camera is an even bigger joke than the 30x jewelers lupe I have and this took nearly an hour to get those previous pics of the trichomes.

To all: is it customary procedure to wait until all hairs are red brown or any other color but white?

Heres another peek at the operation.

Any suggestions for a device i can get for scopin’out the trichomes would be fantastic.

My eyes aren’t all that great, but those have too much clear for my taste. I guess it depends on what you want out of your smoke (racy or sedating.)

in between racy and sedative.
What am i looking for in both cases?

All cloudy with maybe a little amber. A few trichs are going to turn amber if you wait for 100% cloudy.

Consider a staged harvest. Trichs on flowers nearer the bottom will lag those at the canopy by a few days to a week. I always do a staged harvest to get more consistent weed.

I see just a few amber here and there.I am still feeding lightly having watched a video of a study that reports that there is no evidence flushing cleans any residual nutrients from the flower tissue and over 500 taste testers generally could NOT distinguish between plants that were flushed and those that were not. And the few that did distinguish correctly were “Statistically Insignificant” so as to mean if the panelists were to just guess based on appearances they likely would have scored correctly just as often.
What are your thoughts?
I will try to get some better pics later tonight or tomorrow and would really appreciate it if you would once again take a look.

I always flush or cut back nutes at the end of the grow, but it’s not really because I believe one way or the other. It’s always been a ritual and part of the process. That said, I don’t think the fruits and vegetables we eat are ever flushed. Tobacco isn’t flushed.

I feel like when I stop feeding and just go to water only it hurries them along a bit

I could see that. If deprived of nutrients, a plant might focus on ripening the flower earlier.

Yep, that’s my uneducated point!

Same with dropping the light intensity a bit towards the end… also uneducated…lol

interesting thoughts to be sure but typically do you have white hairs at harvest?

LIke the others said wait looks like another 3 weeks.

68 days is really early. Most take 8 - 9 weeks of flower plus veg time of 4 weeks ( autos that like to get a jump on things) that is 12 -13 total grow time or 84 - 91 days minimum. Sit tight.
I would be lost without my USB scope. From this morning - chop tomorrow

what strain is your plant? have you got a picture of the whole plant I can see while I’m going crazy?
And what do you use to take your pictures?

There are usually at least a few white hairs at the end.
This one will be cut any day now.

Still has a few white hairs but they get lost in the shuffle.

have you got a wider shot of the plant?
