Sensi Grow and Bloom Powder vs Liquid formula

So I know most folks on here are Jack’s fans and I have been considering the switch. I’ve been using advanced nutrients so far though and feel like I’m getting pretty good results. I also honestly kind of like the 1000 part system even though that’s most people’s complaint about AN. Just makes me feel like I can react better to deficiency or excess because I can pull or add smaller parts in the mix as needed. Plus I kind of miss my days working in a lab and honestly don’t mind the 3-7 part mix I typically run since it’s just a few quick measurements with a graduated pipette.

So here’s the question though. Since I have so many AN additives already and I only need to purchase a base mainly I’m thinking of running the Sensi line instead of Jacks for this grow. I just saw they have a powder form available too though, which is one of the “benefits” to the Jack’s lines due to cost savings and storage. I’m kind of OCD and a little worried I’ll drive myself crazy with the mixing which is why I’m hesitant to go the powder route, but definitely seems like the most cost effective option. Just wanted to see if anyone had tried the powder form of the Sensi series to see how it ran and whether mixing was a nightmare. Any tips for easy mixing methods for the powder series would be great too.

the powder wont expire as quickly…the liquid have like an expiration date of two years on the bottle but AN told me that they should still be ok after the exp. date…i think it doesnt work as good after the exp. date personally

Thanks! I ended up getting 5 lbs of grow and bloom powder for like 75 which was a steal. I just finished my remaining liquid and the wife is pushing me to go organic to hopefully save some time. The long storage time on them is great though, that way I can have them on hand for issues I can’t figure out. Going to give living soil a try on this next grow though.

Oh and everything in the powder is chelated too, so you don’t have to worry as much about lockout. Plan on switching to it for my clone mothers for that too.

I’ve been trying to finish my liquids but they passed the exp. date already and I feel like it doesn’t work the same anymore lol. I just hate to toss old nutes because of how much it all costs

I know a lot of people love Jack’s. I think some of the more devoted in the forum recently switched to megacrop one part. I believe @OGIncognito is leading that charge.

I haven’t tried any of them really other than the 3 part and sensi AN liquid. I liked it a lot though and have read good things about the Sensi Powder. I think it’s basically just AN ripping off the Jack 321 formula. I like that it’s phase specific though even if that shouldn’t matter with chelated and my biggest sell on AN is the pH perfect tech. I hate pHing, I’m not patient enough.

I’m making the switch to living soil following the Buildasoil top feed regimen. Going to use a local guys version of most of it but basically same stuff. I’ve seen some pretty good results from others using it and feeds are way less work.

The Mega Crop 1 part is working very well for my plants. It’s also very budget friendly :love_you_gesture:
