Seeds not germinating after 72 hours

4 out of 5 seeds didn’t germinate after 72 hrs. I got a 20 pack, but only doing five for now. Should I try and germinate more or what do I do?

Welcome to the forum.

How are you germinating the seeds? In dirt? Paper towel? Shot glass?

I wouldn’t suggest taking on 5 plants at once unless you have the lighting to do so or are growing them outdoors. Artificial lighting is very expensive, and it takes a lot of light to flower 5 plants. Cannabis is a very light hungry plant.

I am using the paper towel method. As far as taking on 5 plants at a time, that’s a different subject.

The paper towel was kept moist in a dark area of the house with the temperature around 74°

Shot glass with a bit of Hydro perox, dark cupboard at 70-80°F for 12-18 hours, paper towel with water seed was in and in the same place for another 12 hours should pop. If not, I would reach out to ILGM Customer service with your order number unless you bought them somewhere else.

OK, I will take them out of the paper towel and try them in the hydrogen peroxide for 12 hours or so. I did in fact order them through ILGM.

I couldn’t find how to contact customer support.

Not straight. Water with a splash of hydro. I do not measure it. Jes a lil squirt in the bowl of water when dropping a bean.

Stick them straight into moist soil with a baggie over the top of the cup. Works every time for me.

I put mine straight in the dirt in a Solo cup. I’ve only had one seed fail to produce.

I always have trouble starting seeds during winter. For some reason the seeds know it ain’t time to wake up IMO. I had a hard time myself getting five starts this month.

How long does it take for them to pop out the ground?

Welcome to the community that helps. ILGM will take care of replacements without question. They are awesome and so is this group of knowledgeable growers. I have placed mine in dirt when they didn’t sprout with direction from ILGM and they popped. It usually takes 2-3 days sometimes as long as 7. Good luck, sometimes you will get a dud so you can’t beat the guarantee.

They are now soaking in h20 and a splash of hydrogen peroxide, gonna move them back to a paper towel tomorrow and see what happens

Some times they do just take a while.
Hopefully thats all it is, I’ll do the soaking in glass with a little h202 and then after 12-14 hours i plant them in solo cups no matter if they’ve cracked open or not.
Most often they do eventually sprout, if they haven’t within a week I very carefully dig it up to see what’s going on but that’s not very often.

I did get a bad batch once to so it does happen sometimes. 2 out of a 10 pack was all that popped

I use to drop a seeds in a glass of water for 12-24hour before them sank to bottom or seed crack open. I stop using paper towel method since I always broke them taproot

after that I put them directly into soil that was pre-watering. 3-5 day later it thrive.

I’ve had trouble with them popping trying this method which is why I stick with planting directly into the soil.
