After germination I’m having to remove the shell halves manually on many occasions because they don’t fall off naturally and they have rotted/died in the past when I didn’t do this. Is this normal?

Ive had “HELMET HEAD” twice and it Flecked off easily. Ive heard of worse cases though.
I’ve had it happen several times in the last few years ,all of which have been with autos. All direct burial , my photo seeds go in a paper towel and I haven’t had to help shed the shell
Welcome to the forum. Sometimes lower humidity can cause that…other times it just happens. What humidity to you keep them as they are sprouting?
That is a problem i have. Theirs some sense there i think!
Thank you, I use damp paper towels inside a large ziplock bag and place them directly into pots with soil that has been presaturated.
Thank you, I copied the chart.
You’re welcome, and you don’t need to be exact or necessarily take a leaf temperature to offset if you are close to in range as that will successfully grow healthy cannabis if other parts of the environment aren’t out of wack.
