So, I have had a gold leaf soaking in a cup for around 16 hours it sank but is showing no signs of opening is this normal?

So far so good. May want to take it out and place it in a wet paper towel in a sandwich bag.

Welcome
I would place the seed in between 2 damp towel (not dripping wet just soaked and place in a ziplock bag and place some place dark and warm.
Give it a day or two or three and you should have a tail.
Normally I have a tail within 2-3 days
Good luck

I place my seed in water with a mix of hydrogen peroxide, after 24 hours (won’t leave longer) I pour the water and seed into a solo cup with ProMix COCO, within 24-72 hours I have a fully sprouted seedling. After I switched to this process I have had 100% germination of my seeds.

Also, I bought 35 seed how many should I germinate at once?

Definitely not all the 35.

I go cup of water in cupboard over the fridge for 48 hrs. (A drop of h202 if desired) if no crack after that I dampen paper towel and put inside ziplock. Place ziplock in folded dish towel inside on sunny window ledge. Works everytime. 18/18 so far. Good luck.

What size grow space do you have or plan on using? How much light space for veg and flower will you have?

Are they fem?or regular seeds?
How many plants were you thinking of growing?
How big of a space are you occupying?

They are auto flowers granddaddy purple, purple haze, and purple kush. Also 5 gold leafs. I have two 2x2x60 tents with Mars hydro lights

Well that depends how big you want them.

I do 4 or 5 in a 3x3. Infact I did 5 GDP auto in a 3x3

This is my 2x4, moving forward I will only do two plants in here so I can do more training.

Picture is about a week old but you can see space was taken quickly after their stretching.

Love that stand. Did you DIY that from an old desk lamp?

The other thing to notice with this, there is a Sativa dominant and Indica dominant in there. Due to that I had to make adjustments to their trellis because the Sativa kept stretching.
