S.O.S. Leaves curling down, first photo grow

Blackberry kush photo. Turned 5 weeks monday. Seeded in FFHF, vegging in FFOF for 3.5 weeks now. No feeding yet. Been having high high humidity (95%+). Precipitation has formed on the leaves before. My guess is overwatering or nitrogen toxicity.

Your color is spot on for healthy I personally would rule out nitrogen toxicity. She looks hungry. You say you haven’t fed her any nutrients yet. I believe you said you’re in 5 weeks of your soil.

Fox farm soils hf/0f is good for 4 to 5 weeks on they’re pre-charged soil.

The next time you water her be sure to get run off of about 15 to 20% if your runoff EC is 500 or less (or your ppms is 1000 or less) start feeding nutrients.

When starting a post for assistance please try to give all the information you can this will better assist in assisting you

What type is this Autoflower or photo.?
What size and type pot are you growing in?
What kind of light are you using?

Give us the deets.
pH, PPM’s in/out
I concur on your initial assessment based on pics only but more info will help.
Watering practices
etc…

First Photo grow per the title

When you water are you letting the pot totally dry? It does appear to have a over water drop look

-15 points. I don’t read very well

For the record, 95% plus humidity is too much in the vegetation stage I would try to get that down till maximum of 75% minimal 70% temp in veg I like to stay around 72°

you document and type very well though.

Blackberry kush photo. Its in a 7 gallon pot full of FFOF. Only been in this pot and soil for 3.5 weeks. Been watering with distilled water so i havent done ph or nutes as of yet. Was under the impression distilled water retained the ph value of soil and that Ocean Forest was good on nutes for 6 weeks. The temp/humidity reader is sitting in the edge of the pot on top of the soil. Not sure how much this is affecting humidity readings but i know it does to some degree.

3.5 weeks depending on how much water you have been feeding them and if you’re feeding to run off or not

(are you feeding to run off and checking your runoff?)

You’re very close to running out the pre-charge of the soil. One problem that I see is that you’re using distilled water that has a little to no PPM value and you’re watering without anything added to it. This is not a good thing as distilled water cannot be pH and you’re not phing it anyway this is another bad thing.

Do you have calcium magnesium AKA Cal mag?

Could you do me a favor and test your tap water PPM and let me know what it is thank you

The first thing I want you to do is get a bucket. Fill that bucket with approximately 2 gallons of water from your tap.

I want you to tell me what the PPM and the EC of your tap water. I want you to let that water sit for the next 24 hours to gas off the no-nos in tap water like chlorine etc. Do not put a lid on this water

Once you tell me the ppms and the EC of that 2 gallons of water I’ll tell you what to do next

Not quite sure how either is a bad thing?
I guess it will all depend of if they are using chemical or natural fertilizers moving forward as that dance with PH PPM and run off etc will be needed with chemical ferts and not so much with Organics

Can be a huge issue especially if it’s been getting wet when watering

Look to hang it from the top of the tent from support bar and have it about even with the plant this way it will give you readings of temp and RH that the plant is dealing with assuming the Hygrometer isn’t compromised…not working right from getting wet. This may be why your readings so high.

Looks like maybe you need to let the soil dry out more before watering just lift the pot up daily to get a feel for wet weight and dry weight. You don’t necessarily need to lift it all up off the floor just grab and edge and lift up and that done regularly will give you a sense of how wet or dry she is as well and finger stick into soil down a couple inches.

I don’t see any nutrient issues from your pics could just be that your watering to frequently not allowing soil to dry out enough between waterings.

What are your plans as far as feeding her moving forward?
What type nutrients chemical or organic?
Makes a difference in process etc

Personally it’s a me thing if I’m using distilled/rain/Ro in a pre-charged soil like Happy Frog I like to pH the water at about 6.4 going in

It’s difficult if not impossible to do with that type water as there’s nothing for the ph up or down to stick to so the pH drifts

In veg my soil is still precharged so I’ll add a little bit of vitamins like B-52 and some calcium magnesium to bring the EC value up to about 350 EC then I’ll pH my water to 6.4 drifting stops

Im with @Skydiver looks over watered. I would pluck few fan leaves get more air flow underneath her

Will be using jacks 321 going forward.

If the water going in has no PPM or very little in the case of RO at 10-20ppm it doesn’t do diddly to the PH of the soil as it doesn’t add or take away potential hydrogen + or - the water simply takes the existing PH profile of the soil as it is.
No adjustments needed with increasing or decreasing PH with anything when using RO/Distilled relating to it affecting soil PH

Distilled water has a pH anywhere from 7.0 through 7.4 straight out of the gallon

If my soil has a natural pH let’s just say it’s 6.5 I run that water each time I water through that pre-charged soil that pH will start to change I now have no control of what that pH is.

@OGKushman
You’re in good hands my friend. I’m just a rookie disregard anything I said. Good luck to you. By the way it looks like you’ve done a good job so far she looks very healthy!

Many growers on here are using Jacks.
I haven’t but from what I’ve read it is well liked and works well too.
