Dropped 6 beans today, 23rd December, from Emerald triangle seeds, 60/40 indica sativa. First time growing regulars and I’m as nervous as a kitten. I have all 6 in rapid rooters. Only thing I’ve done differently is bury the seeds a bit deeper down this time. No soak, no peroxide, straight to seed compost with a few mils of water and a heat mat set at 75-80f. Black afghani x Bubba kush x CBD Sativa. 8-9 weeks harvest so be interesting to see how these go

Cool didnt wanna deal with the delicate transplant? When they pop up if u can see make it as easy for them as possible put em in dirt soon so they dry out. Merry x mas

@fano_man they’re in dirt just now with a bit of heat. The humidity in there is insane as well. Since using this method I’ve had 100% success with germination 
. I will transplant when they’re strong enough. Good point on the drying before transplant though. Last time they were too small and the soil was too damp to lift them out cleanly 
.

I have plenty of confidence that they will be pushing through the soil soon. It’s sort of funny even with all that confidence I wait to start journal until I see some growth.

i used a seedling mat this time after i put them in dirt and the ones that didnt get on the mat did better! coincidence?

@pptrsha1 Seedling mat is what I’m using just now in a domed propagator and it’s a great thing. I’m with you, no coincidence there on the success rate.
@AfgVet I am a bit twitchy on the regular seed thing. I will be sure to shout.

I was driving myself crazy with this first batch. Checking constantly. I have a second batch going now in veg and taking it all in stride. When the males do show balls you have PLENTY of time before they drop any pollen. Once they mature a little, give them a quick glance over each day. They’ll reveal themselves.
