ROCKWOOL and auto stunting

I started using peat starter cubes and stunted every auto I planted. Then I read that’s quit common. So I’m wondering if ROCKWOOL will do the same thing? I understand ROCKWOOL is high in ph and needs to be tamed down.

Ive had good luck wirh those little jiffy pucks . Just soak them to expand . squeeze excess water out . And pop seed 1/3 to halfway down in and cover it back up. Put in germination tray with lid /light for a week or so

Every plant I ever started in Jiffy Pucks stunted at about 6” , I have read people have allot of issues with peat. Also lots of people have luck with them. Go figure.

think the key is to just spritz them with water daily and maybe a splash teaspoon into the coco/peat pod every couple three days . I’ve found a definite correlation of less water equals more growth. keep them in tray and spray mist inside to keep humidity high. i let them hit the top before transplanting to coco or whatever your using. youll see roots busting out all over by then. I’m still a rookie too though lol.

Rockwool works just fine. Actually almost bulletproof.
Soak the cubes in phed water with a touch of calmag. A good hour. Squeeze the cube to remove excess water. Reshape it. Poke a hole about 1/4 inch deep. Stick the bean in. Drop it in a solo. Place under mild light with 80° at least.
When sprouts solid stick the rockwool pod with seedling in final pot. Go from there.
Easy peasy. A little acidic in ph is ok. Helps the seed break.
Dont overwater. Dont let dry.
