Another new grower needs help

don’t even know where to start. Have done alot of reading, got a greenhouse dome with a heat mat and thermostat set at 75 degrees. Presoaked the seeds (OG Kush), presoaked the rockwool cubes, adjusted my water to about 6.0. Been watering once a day with a spray bottle. It’s been 3 and 1/2 days without any sprouts so I sacrificed a rockwool to see progress. The attached pictures show the results. Any suggestions would be greatly appricated. Thanks

@hairtumor I’m sorry to hear about your frustration in growing. How far down inside the Rockwool did you place the seeds? They should only be 1/8-1/4 inch in. Sometimes they do take awhile to break the surface. It sounds like your growing environment is pretty good. I’ll tag some others in so you can get the best answers. @bob31 @Countryboyjvd1971

What @Covertgrower says plus too much water it seems

Funny you should mention that. I used the existing holes in the rock wool which seemed to be pretty deep, maybe 1”. I’m also thinking it’s too wet. I’ve read so much about not letting the rock wool dry out I may have over done it a bit. Should I just leave them alone and see what happens? Thanks for the advise.

Yes @hairtumor I would leave them alone, or if you can gently remove some of the top layer so they don’t have so far to go it would help. I think this would save your seeds. If you do nothing it may just take a long time to see them, I’m no expert In Rockwool, but it is great stuff. Just place a small amount of water in the bottom. Maybe 3/8” inch? The water will wick it’s way throughout the medium. As long as it’s moist, that’s important. But not wet. Don’t forget to check the ph! Be sure to tag us using the @covertgrower so we know you’ve responded.

I think an inch down will be fine. Just be patient. You can definitely drown the seeds. If the rock wool is damp I wouldn’t spray it.

Welcome to the community @hairtumor as everyone has you on the right track just take it easy on the watering deffinately looks like you drowning em once you get the moisture dialed in those babies will take off a couple of mine took like a week before they came up to the surface

Thanks to everyone for the advise.

3 days later and I have this. I figured they were all gonna die if left alone so I took

tweezers and lifted the seeds out and placed them about 1/4” deep in the rockwool. The leaves look a little pale and wilted, I’m hoping with time they will get stronger.

PS I haven’t watered them for 3 days and the rockwool is still moist.
