Help growing from seed in rockwool

Help how to grow from seed using rockwool

I soaked my seeds in 2 cups of water with a small cap full of peroxide for 24 hours. Then moved them into a paper towel soaked with the same water and place it in a ziplock bag in a dark warm place. After about a day or two the seeds will have a little tail. I then soak my cubes in the same water for a minute then gently squeeze most the water out so that it’s just slightly more than damp. Place seeds with root tail pointing down gently into the cube. Place cubes into a container to keep moisture in and keep warm. Should have seedlings coming up in about a day. That’s about it. Others vary but that worked perfect for all 4 on my grow.

A picture showing a method I’ve used with wool cubes. I’ve also cut a clear plastic water bottle and covered the cube with that to keep in more humidity. I use a heating pad to keep them warm.

There are so many You Tube videos too. Just do a search. “from seed to rockwool”

First reply was on point.

keep rockwool moist…not sopping wet. the rockwool will actually soak up water, so just a little at the bottom once a day will work well.
some commercial growers only use rockwool blocks to grow. they take the small cubes and place them inside larger cubes.

IMPORTANT----ROCKWOOL HAS TO BE SOAKED IN 5.5 PH WATER FOR A FEW MINUTES this IS a requirement…otherwise your cubes will be waay out of ph range for growing

I usually just put a seed straight into 6 inch prepped block. small hole in center 1 1/2 inch deep ONLY. Drop seed, lightly pinch together the top of the hole. Wait 5 days and say hello to my little friends.
