Rehydration ideas?

Interesting problem.

Harvested two plants the other day.
One 100% indica, the other 60/40 sativa dominant.
Trimmed both in my bowl trimmer wet, and placed in hanging baskets to dry. Side by side in the same room. A process that normally takes me about 3-4 days.

Check them today after 3 days. Indica is right in schedule. However the sativa dominant is super dry! Almost too dry. According to my hydrometers, 39-44%.

Anyway I’ll be rehydrating. My usual method is to place buds in a large mouthed glass jar. Place a dry, folded patch of paper towel on top. Then place a tiny square of soaked paper towel on top of that. Nothing “wet” us touching the buds. I have a mini hydrometer inside the jar to monitor.
I can usually easily rehydrate back to 58% by next day.

Anyone else gave any other method to offer? I’m all ears.

If I have other plants growing I just put in a leaf from them into the jar or bag.

I use a wet sponge inside an open plastic bag placed in with the flower to rehydrate.

Throw a handful of fan leaves in there, it’ll gradually raise the humidity without over wetting or a wet rag or sponge touching buds, possibly causing mold or rot…

I would use a leaf or very small pieces of bread. Either in a jar or brown paper bag.

Small piece of lettuce, paper towel, or orange peel. If you have some really citrusy terps, the orange peel will really bring them out.

Whats the temp in the drying room?..I had that same over dried/ dried too fast problem this year with my Blueberry Muffin it was harvested in mid Sept. and the temps in the room got to 80F.way way too hot for a good dry…I dont have a/c so…I had to deal with it…
As far as re-hydrating I second that on using fan leaves if you have any all the other suggested methods the other guys said work well too…!
