I found these super bright red spectrum led lights that are a rope light extremely bright . My question is when to use this supplemental light? Should I use it during seedling stage or are they best used during flowering ? They claim to be equal to 100 watt bulb, I do know if you look directly at them they hurt your eyes
My other question is placement.
Around the lower part of the girls or near to the top closer to flowers ?
Saw these online and couldn’t resist trying them out. I plugged them in for several hours and they did get very warm and gave off some heat but I didn’t unroll the coil, instead I just powered them up to make sure they wouldn’t overheat.
One more question is duration of light time?
Should I only use for a couple hours per day or on same timer as my grow light? It’s 18/6

I use two different red spectra, 680 nm and 720 nm. They each have their function during different phases of the grow.
I wonder what the wavelength of your red light rope is.
