Need guidance on new led for a 2x2.
Currently using TS 600 and it’s simply not enough to really do the job the best.
I mean it’ll pull a couple ozs but I know I could do better.
Thanks in advance
Hello InkedOldMan I presently use growers choice 680w full spectrum led. I think I could do much better with more wattage. However that comes along with higher electric bills. Nutes cost is crazy also and I feel I’m spending way to much on them. I’m using a hydro system with Green Planet nutes. Averaging $100 a gallon. Duel fuel 1, 2, vitathrive, Rezin, liquid weight, massive bloom. Plants are healthy but there must be a cheaper way.
Wow, id just smoke crack
I have a spiderfarmer se3000 in a 3x3 and it would absolutely be perfect to max out a 2x2.
I have a spiderfarmer sf2000 in a 1.5x2.5 that would do pretty good in a 2x2 also. .
There’s lots of options for good lighting but those are the 2 smaller lights i have experience with.
@Low did a great thread on lights for comparison to help figure out what suits ya best

@1HappyPappy
Thanks for the input.
Out of curiosity, how much weight are you averaging from each ?
I’m consistently getting around 2 ozs (one plant) with this TS600. From what I gather tho, that’s pretty accurate for what it is…
Bro check out General Hydroponics trio, its like $80 for 3 gallons or better yet General Hydroponics Maxi series, it’s even cheaper.
@1HappyPappy how many plants you grow in the 3x3 with the SE3000? I am doing 2 fem photos here once transplant is done.
I have several lights and I mive stuff around alot and do not keeo good records.
But my first light was the se2000 and it was in a 2.5x5 closet which is way to big. But I grew 2 plants, both was around 4oz so half a pound. I would think 8oz should be easy with it.
The se3000 I have in the 3x3 is the most impressive light I have. I get well over 2 pounds from it regularly.
I also have a marshydro sp3000 and a Growers Choice Roi-e720 but these would not fit in a 2x2.
All depends really.
1 in it now.
2 and 4 in the past. Really just depends on size and training techniques.
kinda thought it was depends ?, I am going for 2 on first indoor grow WW and a GDP.
Photos are easier just because you control when they flower and they van take alot of abuse before flower if you find tjey get to big you can chop entire limbs off if ya need to
1,2,3, even 4 or 6, with photos you can feel the space quicker abd flip to flower sooner but that also means you probably useing smaller pots and will have to water alot more. So there’s pros and cons to 1-2 or multiple I guess.
Yea have seen what a few photo strains do out doors, grew Hindu Kush, Pure Indica, and Afgahn last yr had 12 plants total. Live in a kind state for weed.
Thanks I appreciate the information I’ll check it out. I’m getting ready to retire and fixed income won’t go far enough I’m afraid. Maybe my wife will support me
@TheAbu95 is this what you’re using? If so it would be hard to argue with this for a reasonably priced option.
Yes sirr thats the one.
I’ve added 4 100watt spiderfarmer lights to a 4x4 that works well. In my 4x8 I have 2 480watt HYPHOTONPLUX HPF4000 then a couple years ago I added 1 100watt UVA to the middle and 4 100watt deep red led, 1 in each corner, to the 4x8. Side lighting helps and the most efficient photon… is deep red. Especially for flowering plants, so says Dr. Bugbee
Also works well to wake them up and put them to sleep. So says the Emerson effect.
I can totally understand this my freind
Facebook market place can be a good place to find grow lights very cheap sometimes.
Lots of people buy expensive kits, grow a plant or 2 and lose interest for whatever reasons and then sale their equipment cheap.
Alot of my stuff I acquired this way, my growers choice Roi-e720 was over $1,000 when i got it. It was new still in the shipping box and I paid $600.
I got a $700 4x4 marshydro kit with tent, light, fan, filter, timer, grow bags, basically everything needed for $350.
A Marshydro 2x4 with sp3000 light and exhaust fan for $300.
I check every day for deals and sometimes I see nothing for weeks but something always pops up eventually
Thanks…that was a real good laugh! I mean out loud and wife came in and asked if i was ok loud!
