Hi All,
Great resource here. I have 2 Maui Wowie plants and 3 Chem Dawg all feminized. Germinated March 1 in NorCal south of SF. Plants are doing well. One Chem in a 30 gal bag and the others in 10gal bags. I’ve topped all plants due to height issues with neighbors.
My concern is when they will flower. They haven’t shown and signs yet and are still growing vigorously. Any ideas on when to look for signs of flowering? After June 21? I’m trying to figure out vacation timing. All are hooked up to our drip system except the 2 Mauis which I will hook up before I leave. We are planning an October vacation as well and I’m concerned about harvest time.
My seeds were purchased here and they ALL germinated. My dog knocked over 4 seedlings. Also, what kind of yield can I expect?
@chrisacker85 Nice looking plants.
For me on the Canadian east coast up above Maine it’s usually around mid August that they start to flower.
Pretty much less than 13 1/2 hrs daylight depending on strain around here.
Some go a bit longer but usually by the last couple weeks of Aug mine are all in.
Welcome to the neighborhood btw.
Thanks! You guys are noticeably farther north than we are. I grew up in NY near Ottawa and the days are longer before June 21. My hope is for the timing to be ok before October. I don’t want to ask my neighbor to harvest my plants, although I did give them a really nice seedling.
Like others have stated, starting to flower mid august, finish mid October.
If you are new to outdoor growing I just want to warn you about published feed schedules. They are setup for 4-6 weeks of vegging, not 10-12 weeks like what happens when starting your plants in May. You will need to get a little more creative with your feeding.
