Just got a 4x4 tent and got 2 budget lights from amazon. Just wondering if 2 1000w lights would work full cycle only drawing a little over 200 watts from wall. watched a bunch of videos and reviews and they say yes. they are viraspectra brand
Use the search function and you will find a formula for grow space and # of plants… As a reference - I have 4000W s across 4 lights combining LEC and LED running in my 4x4x6 tent. I think you are underpowered. Preparing to harvest in about 2 weeks, i hope.

Hi @fatz614 first off welcome to the neighborhood. I’m just guessing because I would need more info on your lights but I’m thinkin the ones you have have a 2x2 footprint so at a minimum you would need 2 more to cover the 4x4

Perfect @fatz614 the screenshot that has the ppfd maps are what you need to see what the light is capable of. For seedlings you need a ppfd between 100-300 in veg 300-500 and in flower 500-1000 the map shows 2x2 squares looks like 14 inches from the canopy of your plants your light is good in the 1x1 center and acceptable to 2x2 like I was guessing above 4 of those would decently flower a 4x4 at 14" from the plants. It doesn’t show the numbers but for veg it would probably hang 22-26 inches from the top and somewhere around 30 inches for seedlings.
You would obviously do better with a little more power but isn’t that the story of our lives we never have enough power. If you have no option but to grow with what you have it will will be better to only use half of the 4x4 than to try and stretch the lights over the whole area and just get more lights as you can. I would recommend a more powerful light with a 2x4 footprint than 2 small ones. Of course 1 light with 450 + watts with a 4x4 footprint would be even better. Hope this helps you out

@MeEasy hello im back again with another question? so far i have a king 2000 that pulls 388w from wall, is that enough to flower a 4x4 or should i also get the 1000 that pulls an additional 188w from wall
