interesting. i just thought i was getting a little better light penetration. do you ever grow the colas sideways? i don’t see how the lower parts ever mature growing straight up.
In essence, that’s what your doing in a scrog, growing big branches horizontally then allowing the smaller secondary branches to grow vertical
the branches go horizontal but don’t ever see anyone tucking buds. i just bent mine over as far as they’d go to expose the undersides. i dunno. may be a good reason no one does it.
Honestly do whatever you can do to get moor light to every part of the plant without breaking it and you can feel confident that you are doing nothing wrong
round 2 coming up soon! will try.
yeah so i have also wonder why folks don’t run strips at least on the sides of the tents. i don’t know my plant biology, but i can see that maybe underneath may not work if the leaves aren’t set up to feed on the undersides (i have no idea if that’s the case), but at least on the sides you’d be mimicking the sun.
Underlighting is definitely not cost efficient and the only way that it will work at all is to do zero lollypoppying so there is vegetation down below still to grow.
That is definitely not a beginner’s setup. I been growing for a bit and have had zero success with underlighting
good to know. wont try it ![]()
