I’m new to growing and curious about how much does a autoflower typically yields. I noticed on pacific seeds they were saying around 350-500g. That’s seems like a lot for an auto. Is this true? Has anyone ever grown auto(inside) and got back a yield of 10+ oz?
I imagine if someone were a master gardener they could get such yields from a square meter of space.
My first grow I got 59 grams, just over 2 ounces from a single plant grown under a 100 watt blurple UFO light.
I have two plants growing now under two horticulture lighting group hlg 100 rspec lights I’ll be very happy if I get 6 ounce from the two of them.
What I’ve read is, that if your goal is maximum yield photo period plants are the way to go.
Also search Pacific Seeds on this forum they seem to have a bad reputation in general
Yield estimates and THC percentages on sites are from optimal growing conditions. Took a while to end up with those ranges. Same with flowering time estimates.
I am growing Tora Bora from Pacific Seed Bank. I had no issues but I can say their seeds isn’t Top Shelf either. Its the only seed bank that I can order that strain from.
@Not2SureYet can do that with autos, im sure there are others too. Has very little to do with them being autos, and much more to do with knowledge, equipment, and growing methods.
Yeahh I got well over 4 o offa one Girl Scout extreme auto. Her name was Suzanne loved her
Of course from ILGM by the way
@MrPeat @Wearbear whats the problem with pacific seeds? This is my first time ordering from them usually my seeds come from ilgm but for that price I couldn’t pass it up lol.
I’ve seen many posts/comments here on various threads about quality and delivery of seeds. They have a 2.2 out of 5 stars review on Google from over 300 reviews
(Those are for Pacific Seed Bank in Santa Rosa CA)
FWIW they have a F rating from Better Business Bureau too
@RandyWatson It took over 1 month to get the seeds. The seeds are pretty small. A lot of the bad reviews is from the shipping times.
What most don’t take into consideration is they are ordering from a State with over 2 million active Covid cases. The most in the entire world. So there is huge delays.
I haven’t had a 100% success gemination but its the only place I can order the Tora Bora strain. But no seed is ever 100% guaranteed as we all know.
I will order more of Tora Bora when I need more seeds. The seeds is by Dutchman.
@Not2SureYet does it regularly
Just for discussion I have bought all our seeds from Green piont seeds and everyone I have planted has grown into some fine girls and they shipped fast in about 7-10 days
This is the last and heaviest auto I have grown. Jack Herer 190 grams
Before that most were around 3 zips.
For pacific seeds. I have heard not so great things about them. I got some photos from them. I have only grown one. It popped right away and grew great from start to finish. Super nice dense buds. 7 1/2 oz from a 5 week veg. For growing big autos. I am certain that if you are to do so. You need to be in coco. Strains play a good part in it too. I did a 9 oz auto in my first grow using vipar spectra lights. And a 14oz auto using 130w from a QB @dbrn32 got me panels for and @Myfriendis410 assembled for me for me. @HornHead got a lb from a WWa
9 oz viparspectras. It took 3 lights for this
14oz with the QB
Always check trusted pilot reviews before buying from a seed company.
I ordered from Pacific Seeds and then learned of their tactics and have warned everyone here to stay away, this review says it all.
Also I ordered autos that didn’t flip, so bad stabilizing of their genetics.
The 3 that did flip had low yeilds of 3oz and I’m an experinced grower.
Both strains looks and smelled very similar ebn thiigh they were very different genetics. Pretty sure they just sold me whatever was laying around and claimed it was whatever I wanted.
I’ll paste the first review here:
"Just a seed company flocking seeds that are random in house genetics.
Stolen trade names, legal issues, just garbage company. Stay far away from these crooks.
Update to reply from Pacific.
As proof go ahead and try to get any contact information for any of their “breeders” they are all fake in house genetics.
This is why they Cary very rare strains but unknown breeders.
Advanced genetics…
Or Amsterdam seed Co.
Update:
I reached out to customer support and they replied once and didn’t even answer any of my concerns.
STAY AWAY!"
@Nicky fuck I’m nervous now bro!! I was thinking everything you just wrote in that post before I made the order. I’m new to growing but I have literally traveled the WORLD smoking weed and never once have I come across “alien moonshine ” but for $30 I couldn’t pass that up lol. I ordered the banana kush from them but after reading that I’m not confident that what I’m getting will actually be that strain. But hey you live and you learn, I know better next time.
@Not2SureYet like I said I’m new to growing I have no experience using coco, is it like using soil? Do you have a link that can point me in the right direction on how to learn to grow with coco? And are either of you experienced with growing hydroponically? Is the yield a big difference between hydro and soil? And my apologies bro I know I’m asking you both a lot but I’m honestly just trying to learn as much about it as I can
Well you have the seeds now, and they are weed so might as well just grow them, lots of peoples first grows are with bag seed so no sweat. Just be warned you have no idea what your actual getting and don’t consider them high quality genetics.
Coco is soil less it’s like hydro but more stable and less yeilds but much better yeilds then soil.
Sools a waste of time in my opinion in terms of cannabis.
Coco is great you just feed it everyday rather then water it every day.
Hydro’s learning curve is big, consider it after coco
My first grow with autos i got 5 oz dried it depends on how much lst you do with ur plants and how many bud sites u have on ur plant aswell thats where lst comes in the more lst u do the more bud sites u get
