How much can an auto-flower yield? I know photoperiods you can veg them longer to get bigger for more yield. But I am wanting to try autoflowers this round. Hoping to get maybe 2oz per plant.
Thanks everyone.

Alot of that will depend on your equipment, genetics, and health of plant. But my first grow I got about 2 oz per plant on autos. Avg 3-4 now.
My average auto yields in soil are from 5 to 8 oz per plant in 5 gal fabric pots.
My average in coco is based on far fewer plants because I’ve only done 2 runs in it so far, but the yields are considerably higher than soil. I’ve gotten between 8 and 11oz per plant in coco in 7 gal fabric pots, and the ones I have going right now look like they might top that.
Just bagged a WW auto and it produced 5.5 oz
I usually get between 4 and 6.
5 autos completed, 3 bananas in coco avg about 4 solid, larf not counted.
Wedding cake 80 grams, runtz almost 2 zips,
To be fair, our almost 2x3 foot space is big enough for 2 plants, we squeezed 3.
Find your strain, 3 rd grow, we stuck another banana kush in because we believe she will yeild.
Each season has thrown new learning variables into the equation. Heat, cold, humidity, rising ph levels due to rains.
Also, what we smoked when we paid for it. Grew twice as much, and smoked twice as much. Growing is learning everyday.
Lately I have been getting 4-6oz. off autos in soil with 720 watts of leds and masterblend nutes in a 4x4. When I started autos I avereged about 2oz. per plant.
Best I have seen is an ILGM blueberry auto in Pro-mix, GH nutes and a climate controlled space with CO2 pulling 11.5oz. after dry of some stupid strong weed. My bro here grew it out when I gave him one of my seedlings. I was only getting 2-3 off the same seeds at that time.
If you follow the seed to harvest time advertised by most breeders, (10-12weeks seed to harvest) you will NOT get much over an oz. or 2 if you are lucky.
My first auto was from 3 freebie seeds that only one grew, so it was only a couple oz. I actually forgot, until recently, that I even grew that one. Strawberry Cheese I think it was.
I grew 2 others (at separate times) and despite being very different sizes, got the same off ea; 8oz of bud, and 2oz of sugar leaves that got de-carbed. These were both strong Indica strains.
They were all DWC, and the last 2 were under 250w of HLG lighting and GH nutes in a 2x4 tent.
My experience with autos is between 3 and 6 oz per plant. Some people claim some wild numbers with autos…wild being the active word (one dude here claimed 35oz off one plant - maybe if he weighed it wet right after chop). You don’t grow autos for yield…you grow them for simplicity and convenience. Also, the autos I’ve grown/consumed rarely live up to my photoperiod plants in any real measure. That said I’ve always got a few autos going lol! Got a “Critical+ 2.0 auto” and “Rainbow Kush auto” going now…
I like the recommendation above to find your strain and hone in on maximizing its potential…once you grow the same strain a few times you can really start to “work it”.
I’ve had autos stunt and only give about ½o. On the other hand, I’ve had 7oz autos. Avg yield estimates, IMPE, are between 2-4oz.
Techniques and environment play a huge role. Don’t let them get too cold at an early age. And try to get anything that can stress them (transplant, topping/FIM’ing, defoliating) done early, as well. If they get stressed when they’re transitioning, it can have a big negative impact on yield.
Then, sometimes they just don’t want to grow. That auto gen can just takeover to where they establish roots, and go right into flower at like 2" tall, and basically be a nugget sticking out of the ground.
A lot of times it’s a roll of the dice. I just chopped one outside that, had it not been at or almost at 100°, would have been a solid 6+oz, but the sun and heat fluffed her out to where she may be 3, max, when dry.
