How fast do they drop spores after the veil breaks?
Pretty quick. I would say a day, but never really thought about it. I remember forgetting about them, went in and they were huge but all covered in black spores 
Yikes no bueno…are they no good after the spores are all over them or as soon as they start to drop?
What does everyone like to use to start making the mycelium. Do you prefer to use the spawn bag things or would the wide mouth mason jars be better?
Nah the spores dry out too no worries there. You’ll for sure have some that open up, it happens fast. It’s just not ideal. They die off pretty quickly after they open too.
I always liked the mason jars, I still have mine, think they probably have tomatoes in them at the moment. San Marzano di CurrDogg.
You will get bigger mushrooms waiting for them to mature that much, but you don’t have to. After a few grows you will get the feel for when to optimally harvest. The vail wasn’t broken on these, but I don’t think they were going to grow any more.
The strain of these is B+.

Thanks for that. Really just curious as I’ve only been running the small 6qt tubs and was honestly wondering how things scale. For my personal needs I really don’t see much reason to change anything, but, you know, rabbit holes and all.
Just starting my 3rd flush on this 6qt (microwave rice bags + coco). Pulled almost 20g dry from the first flush (consistent with last run) and a smaller 7.5g from the second flush (less coverage, larger growth). So 27.2 from the tub so far.
I’m having a hard time justifying trying other methods to myself considering that’s from $5 of already prepared rice and 0.5cc from the MSS…
Agree. I only microdose, so I don’t need a whole lot. I stopped growing shrooms for a while and this is my first tubs since. I have 6 more jars going for when these tubs are gone. Assuming I get decent flushes, I won’t have to grow again for another 6 months.
No, they are just fine. I just have to wipe the spores off or they just gross me out LOL. I’d just rather have them clean. But I also think I read somewhere that once they drop spores, it inhibit the mycelium to stop producing for future flushes. That is what happened to me so maybe it has some merit… I don’t know. I do know, that I hate ugly mushrooms jajajaja
LOL, I keep growing but I have 4 full large mason jars still around… It’s just addicting to grow them
Fairly quickly, usually within 24-36 hrs depending. In the final days you wanna check on em fairly often. They change size rapidly towards the end of puberty…just like humans!
My one good jar of pf tek is really running now lol i can wait maybe a week until i get to fruit the little fella
Ok so I heard some bad things about ralphsters spores but I’m not sure as this is my first time. Can anyone give me a site that they ordered spores recently from and are happy with. Or if there is a couple places ppl choose to order from. I just want to get quality spores
mushrooms dot com is a great place to buy. Packed full of spores and I’ve never gotten a contaminated syringe from them.
