Old dude limping back into the game

Hello to all here at the best canna site there is.

Been trying to grow since i was a young teen. We were doin “hydro” in my friends closet with an airstone, decorative lave rock, and liquid mg at 14 yrs old lololzzzzz.
Did a cpl meh outdoor too.

Grew up, got out of it, went to serve the flag.
Got out of the service and a dozen or so yrs later REALLY got back into it.
We did some serious ops, whole house, entire apartment complexes but it got to be too much and things were getting too HOT with Johnny.
We then went into building grows for people. From a closet, to a garage/shed, and even whole house. “What do you want to do and how much do you have to spend?” Those two variables NEVER added up lololzzzzz.
Homie wanted to connect to the back of electric meters so i got out of it again. Many yrs went by, moved, and now am living in my dream place.
Ive done hydro, coco, and am now trying doing dirt.

Hydro-did okay.
Coco-freakin killed it.
Dirt-i dont know yet, just started back up!

Doing it for me and the wife.
Im falling apart so i need it for meds(FU*K POISON PHARMA)and she’s a pot head lololzzzzz. Will gift what i don’t need.

I wait for the 10+10 sales at ilgm(love the place), so I’m overstocked on autos. GDP, Blue Cheese, Afghan, Durban Poison, Amnesia Haze, and 4 or 5 NL.
I have some photos from other companies too. Gipsy Haze, Blubonik, Black D.O.G, Pineapple Glue, and Super Mutant Mass.

My plan is to dial in the environment and(successfully)rock the autos for a couple runs and then time popping some photos to coincide with harvest on the autos. I know, i know…best laid plans and all.
A pos lying pH meter sabotaged my test run of 1 dp and 1 nl. I pulled the dp too soon(not horrible smoke)but am limping the nl to the end with a new meter.

So, on to the set up…

Im in a spare bedroom with plenty of room if I need more. I’m using a 3x3 table, 3gal fabric pots(because I’m a dumbass that popped 6 seeds for a 3x3), 4x 100w led and will be in Jungle Growth soil.
I have a reliable pH pen now, a cheap but functional tds meter, hygrometer, and a digital scope.
I have pH up and down, protekt silica, benes, cal-mag, and garden epsom.
With all 4 lights on(18/6)im at 81-82°f and 40ish rh. I will be pulling out the humidifier today to get it up some.
They are in solo cups getting transplanted to the 3gal today.
A cpl dp got stretched following manufacturers recommendation on height/brightness. I dont know why i listened to them. Manufacturers are trying to sell something, not tell the truth. From fudging light numbers to scorching your plants with nutes. Anyway, heres pics…

I am open to any and all comments and conversations.
Love this place and the awesome people here.

Home Despot, Drip Pans

I tried one of those washer pans for a project once, and it cracked pretty easy. Those ebb and flow pans are usually pretty tough though if I remember right.

Thanks man. Your transplanting looks like it went well. Please keep us updated on the progress. Im gonna find me one of those pans for sure.

This one is the tough one you remember. IF I’m gonna spend$ its gonna for the legit stuff.
I got this one for 2 reasons…they didn’t hava a 4x4 in stock and i used to have dovens of the 4x8’s of these. They’re heavy duty.
Opposite of the molded in label is molded in inch measurement scale if you wanted to use as a flood and drain. WISH I had a 4x4 and better lighting…

My wife works for American bathware.
Ill see if they make a 4x4 shower stall pan. I know there tough and thick enough to hold body weight.

I would suggest more lighting to get you through flower. HLG makes some killer lights at a decent price. I personally own 3 and the results are great. I too use Jacks 321 in coco, best combination I’ve used. I used Canna products in soil years ago, decent but coco is more forgiving in my opinion. Looks like you have everything else dialed in.

That is a rad idea!
Employee discount!!!

Yes, im all about that.
But i bet i can pull some decent until i get a REALLY good light for that footprint.
When i do those will be mother lights.

It smells really nice and dank/earthy after the transplant.
Really glad i did it today because when i got them out of the cups i had over done the water trying to keep the soul moist for the swap.
I didn’t water them in due to that reason and there was a little bit of moisture left in the soil after mixing benes and perlite and letting it sit.

Spider Farmer has come a long way from their blurple days. And they are reasonably priced still.

Looks like the Jungle Growth soil is a little hot. I have slight tip burn on my new growth tips but not bad.

Speaking of new growth, it doesn’t look like the transplant phased them at all. Gave the 4 transplants a cup each of 6.6 pH water yesterday.

Got the humidifier out, cleaned it, and have the rh up to 47 after hitting a low of 37 yesterday.
