Poseidon's GDP grow

I don’t check PH of my run off unless I clearly have a problem. I do measure the quantity of run off every day as I am aiming for 15-30% runoff. The plants look good to me as the leaf discoloration appears to be on the older growth or the stuff at the bottom. I think the few problems I have had in the past were due to not having consistent run off quantities which is easily remedied by flushing with some water PHed to 5.8 and then fed with the proper nutrient mix. The few times I have flushed I just did that till the PH coming out was close to the same going in. Not sure if that is the correct thing to do, but it worked for me.

Well boys…this is update number three and the girls are only 3 weeks old or 21 days exactly. They certainly are a compact plant as described in the description. Discovered having a reservoir filled with nutes is challenging to keep ph stable. I opened up a different topic earlier in week to see what others are doing but got very little traffic, kinda like this journal lol. Believe it or not, running a wavemaker continuously makes it cloudy after a couple of days. Must be because of the tap and bc the wavemaker would heat res up to almost 75 degrees. So after trial and error, i found that after mixing the nutes up, to leave the mix alone with no recirculating pump or wavemaker. This kept water cool and way more ph stable. Going up only a point a day at most. I just recirculate the feed right before the feed for a couple quick minutes then shut everything down again. Now onto the ladies, they all got topped this week, so a little stunted but they are already starting to bush. Already close to doing a defol. Did pluck a few already. Here they are

Any tips on keeping a stable res with tap and not ro, im all ears would love to hear.

Forgot to add, that im still only around 450 ppfd from the two 350r diablo’s. Still do not get how people run at 600 for veg. My god, these are tight enough lol.

Dayum! They’re really taking off man, they look great. I dropped some beans yesterday, this will be my first time with photos, been growing autos for the last couple years

I bet you will like photos more. Autos have there place no doubt, but much nicer to flip at convenience. Ya they are taking off nice, digging the coco.

Well guys this is update number 4. The girls are now 4 weeks old exactly or 28 days. They are growing faster then anticipated. I will most likely be flipping in just one more week, or a week from this sunday. They are all eating really well and my runoff is only like 50 to 100 tds over from my feed, which is a good thing. They did get a little light stressed over labor day weekend because i was gone for 3 days, i know my bad but recovered quickly. The reason i know is bc the tips of the leafs got a tiny bit of yellow, which most always assume nitrogen toxicity. But nitro tox has the orange painted tips. Good tip for those of you who are not sure which. For the record, the max ppfd was only at about 550 at 20 inch’s with the hlg 350r’s. Still dont get how some run at 600 for veg. These gdp like 450 to 500 only. Any suggestions are welcome.

Hey guys hope all has been well. So today is update number 5. The girls are now 35 days old, and 2 days into flower or from flip. I usually do a 6 to 7 week veg but the girls are just growing so fast that they have already reached the max height for veg for me. I did encounter a strange scenario this week. Since i used to be a soil guy, i would use recharge on water only days once a week. Well this time around i gave them a 100% jacks feed with 1/2 tsp of recharge per gallon. They got some burn but only on a few leafs per plant. They say you cannot get burn from it, but that is bs. I also give the girls a fishsh!t feed once a week as well on a dif day, they love the 100% feed with full strength dose of fishshit at 4ml per gallon. So going forward, i will be doing my recharge feed at 1/2 tsp per gallon but with jacks at 1/3 strength. On a different note, they were so bushy that i removed over a 5 gallon pale of fan leafs also any burned leafs. They still look great and wont make that mistake again. Here they are.

Lol for sure. I see why every1 loves it. Just hope the taste is not impeded. You use recharge ever with jacks at 100%?

Better yet how would you rate taste with purely coco against soil?

I used Recharge in the past and switched up to TPS Billions. I run auto pots and the TPS is a lot clearer and doesn’t leave a residue but other than that it was great. I’ve had several soil, and more coco and honestly can’t tell a difference in taste or smell. The growth rate and cleanliness of coco made a believer out of me plus the Jacks :love_you_gesture:
