Grand Daddy Purple Photos Indoor Coco Jack’s 321

This is a journal of my 7th grow. I have ILGM Grand Daddy Purple Feminized seeds. I plan to run 2 plants in my roughly 2x4 indoor tent in 3 gallons of coco/perlite each in fabric pots. I plan automatic watering drain-to-waste. I plan to use rainwater until I need to winterize the outdoor rain barrels (Northern Virginia).

Thurs Aug 29, 2024 soaked 4 seeds in a shot glass of tap water. Friday- After 28 hours, they still appeared to be floating, but a couple taps on the glass sank them. Moved to wet paper towels in a ziplock in a dark drawer. Sunday- After another 42 hours, they range from a 1.25 inch tail to just cracked open.

Sun Sep 1, 2024. Moved sprouted seeds to rapid rooter plugs soaked in weak Jack’s solution. PH/EC/PPM 6.3/758/379. Plugs in seedling box with light and warming pad under.

Sunday Sep 2, 2024. GDP1, GDP2, GDP3 are above ground after just one day in the rapid rooter plugs.

Tuesday, Sep 3, 2024. 24 hours since photo above. Big seedling stretch. Adding more light to discourage stretch. Also planning to bury deep-ish in solo cup of coco/perlite soon.

We are at the same place in our grows. My first grow in coco, next transplant into my first go at auto pots. Using Mega Crop one part.

I see we live across the river from each other. I live in Moco and work in Tysons, love the traffic :joy:.

Hi Patrick! You are close by. I hope your plants don’t grow too much faster than mine since I won’t be able to blame the climate or local water…

I did soil my first 3 grows as soon as Md went legal. I am anxious to see how I do in coco. I can tag you in my thread and you can follow along.

Yes, I’d like to follow your grow. I’m curious how your Autopot bottom feed setup will do in comparison to my top feed setup.

Sat Sep 7, 2024. Day 6 above ground. Day 3 in solo cup. The three seedlings are happy and uniform in size. Spans of over 2 1/2 inches. It’s time to harvest my grow #6 (Tangie) and dry it in the tent so the tent can be empty and clean in a couple weeks for two GDP plants.

Something for you to think about. Assuming I get my seedling to a stable place and ready to up pot, I currently have 7 seedlings ( 4 photos and 3 autos) I am only growing 5 of them, 3 peanut butter breath photos from Graysin and 2 fastbuds gorilla cookies autos. If you want one of the autos or photos let me know. I drive to Tysons Corner once a week if you wanted a plant. Our plants are nearly the same age, I am just getting first leaves in. If not maybe I practice cloning or something, but if you wanted to finish them let me know.

Interesting. I live close to Tysons, used to commute to Greensboro Drive. If all 3 of my ILGM GDPs survive, do you want one? And maybe a gift half ounce of cured home grown RQS Critical flower? (We need not exchange contact info on this forum)

I am good , I am set up for 5 plants. If you want one let me know, nothing needed in return :+1:. Some day who knows , we can do a dmv smoke party :joy:

Thu Sep 12, 2024. Day 10 above ground and day 8 in solo cups. Seedling leaves overhang solo cups. Tent not ready yet. Review of previous transplant timing: grow #4 (soil) Day 13 too early and root balls crumbly. Grow #5 Day 17 good. Grow #6 Day 14 good. @patrick1960

Looking good :+1: and seem on track. Thanks for the tag, it is nice to watch plants at the same stage as I am in coco.

I’m leaning towards using 5 gallon pots again as the final pots. I dumped the previous grow today-two weeks after harvest. Roots filled the coco/perlite very completely.

As you can see, my green thumb does not seem to cover yard care.
