Wow, sounds great. I’m new to this grow stuff myself. And like you I chose the Grandaddy Purple strain. I had germinated mine only seed I had and it has been about a month to now to be able to see this young lady start her grow life. In the beginning after seed popped and first ray of plant coming up an inch or so I actually thought I kill it. I was told to pull the little petals off gently. Not the leafs but the others as not to let them take much plant energy toward the growth process. So I did. First one came off no problem an second one as I gently pulled up, and I almost accidentally put a tear in the main stem. (great!!!). So I quickly put a small piece of clear tape around the stem and pray for the best. I don’t know but seemed it definitely too some shock on that one but here a pic for about three weeks later. Last two days I can see a quick growth cycle coming on. Using fox farms ocean soil and about to start some NPK starting today. Like I said I’m new so I guess I’ll learn as I go an hope to get some decent lill return my one and only grow
FFOF is already hot. I really really recommend you start very lightly (20% of manufacturing recommendations) with her. She should have more then enough nutes in the soil to around 5-6 weeks of veg. But if you have to feed her make sure not too much. N if her tips burn dont feed again for a while
Also in the immortal words of one of my fellow growers… ‘pH is the root of all evil’. Save urself a headache n invest in a GOOD pH meter (with calibration solutions and pH up n down)
@Newb1, wow, she’s looking really good so far! I’ll be watching
Unfortunately, I seriously stunted my seedling with light intensity burn on the first set of single finger leaves but she’s been recovering well. Feel free to follow as well:
See you around!
My rule of thumb is that when the seedlings leaves reach the edge of the pot it’s time to transplant.
Yes, time to transplant again.
