I plan to run two plants. I just dropped two Granddaddy Purple (GDP) and one OG Kush seeds. I harvested my last GDP run January 2025 and I still have jars and jars of that flower. But it’s my favorite. I bought the GDP seeds from ILGM in mid-2024. The seeds have been in an envelope in the back of my kitchen fridge. The OG Kush seed is from RQS.

The OG Kush seed failed. The two GDP seeds went into a wet paper towel, then rapid rooter plugs, now solo cups (with drain holes) with fox farms 70/30 coco/perlite. I am soaking a replacement OG Kush seed.

Second OG Kush seed also failed. I am dropping the third and last one into water. Watering the two GDP seedlings with PH/EC/PPM 5.8/1070/535 rainwater with Calmag and half strength Jack’s. Some root threads showing out the bottom holes.

Transplanted two GDPs from solo cups to one gallon pots. They were in solo cups for only ten days. Not quite long enough and the root balls were fragile. I fumbled one a bit but probably not fatally. The third OG Kush seed has a tail.

My Mars Hydro TSL2000 light has one bad driver, so I hung my backup led lights in its place. The two GDP plants are each about 9” tall with 6 nodes. The OG Kush seedling isn’t growing. The first and only true leaves are weird. I will cull it soon.

Topped both GDP plants above the 5th node. Still hand watering just once per day. Input (PH/EC/PPM) 6.1/1360/680. The runoff is 6.3/990/495. I will up the input EC.

I like Mars Hydro. I bought my TSL 2000 light from them in April 2022. One of the two drivers failed in 2023 and they send me a replacement driver under warranty. The other original driver failed this year. And they sent me another replacement driver under warranty. They did ask me for $15 for shipping. I think this is great customer service. I know the leds will eventually wear out but I think it’s good for ten more grows.

My two GDP plants were in one gallon plastic pots for 19 days. I transplanted this morning into 5 gallon fabric pots. The fabric pots are on Flora Flex risers for drainage to bins underneath. Still hand watering.

I hooked up the watering halos, fertigation pump, and reservoir stir pump. I turned on the lung room dehumidifier. I spread the first net. Lower leaves on both plants have light/dark zebra stripes, so I’m looking online at leaf symptom charts. I need to complete a detailed grow ticket and ask for advice here.

Im fighting high humidity. The dehumidifier in the lung room shuts off when its reservoir is full. The 4 inch exhaust fan is set to run at top speed 24/7. Exhaust is restricted by a carbon filter. I have wrapped the fabric pots in aluminum foil. That probably negates the “air pruning” for roots. Coco/perlite media stays wet thru four short automatic fertigation events a day. 76 degrees F and 83% RH an hour after lights on this morning.

I left them completely alone for seven days. I don’t have any way to remotely monitor the tent. My AC Infinity controller is Bluetooth only. But the two plants did great! They got bigger with lotsa giant fan leaves. I put 12 gallons in the reservoir before we left. PH/EC/PPM was 5.8/1678/839. Looks like about 8 gallons were delivered by the fertigation pump. PH of the reservoir drifted way down to 5.4. Runoff is about 6.8/1000/500. I will up the EC and the two plants will get a drastic defoliation tomorrow.

Just over seven weeks above ground. Removed about a gallon of fan leaves. The removed leaves weigh 11 oz. Added the second trellis net. Flipped lights to 12/12, so I’ll count tomorrow as day 1 of flower. Added some Jack’s Blossom Booster to the reservoir for luck.

Six days after flip to 12/12. Feeding rain water, Calmag and Jack’s Blossom Booster at PH/EC/PPM 5.7/1188/594. About 1.7 gallons input (total both plants) per day. I’m tweaking the ball valve on the left to equalize runoff. Runoff EC is consistently too high this week, but plants look great. I’m plucking leaves pretty aggressively because humidity is high.
