The pollen shouldn’t hurt so long as it isn’t cannabis pollen. That said, I’m not sure that I would use water that might have other contaminants in it. That water looks pretty nasty.

Happy growing.

I was under the impression that water deactivated pollen? Got me curious as well, I’m interested in what peeps chime in.

Not to contradict my gromie, but your rain water should be golden. I use a 300gal tub that I let rain water fill every winter. It catches a 2” layer of rotten leaves and debris that turn it tannic and nasty. It makes all my veggies, canna, and fruit shine.

Spring tree pollen is harmless nutrients added to your water. Unless that’s cannabis pollen, but honestly if that much cannabis pollen is falling into your water tub you got bigger problems than the pollen slick on the water. Water universally deactivates pollen. My fruit trees will wait weeks with swollen flowers, then all pop together on the first day there is no rain. The plants know this too…

You are correct, water kills pollen on contact.

Pollen. It was just clumped up because i was playing with it trying to get it out. But we got a ton more rain so i left barrel opened and let it flush out. All clear now.
