On Sunday September 28 I planted these feminized blue haze in my VIVOSUN 224 tent using Happy Frog soil and placed my VIVOSUN 1000 led lights that came with the kit more than 18 inches away at 25% I didn’t even think of measuring first time grower mistake I guess, anyway yesterday I noticed the stem looked very long it’s not leaning over just standing up super tall so I downloaded the Photone app and measured the PAR to be a little over 200 from the plants canopy and measured after that and that was 18 inches away from the lights which was significantly lower than how I Initially placed it question is now is their anything I can do besides adjusting the lights to make sure the stem does not fall over the plants still have a moist plastic bag over them humidity is usually at 60-70 and temp at 70-78 any advice/ input would be greatly appreciated
Add more soil to just under first set of leaves.
I’ll try that thank you should I lightly mist them with water after that ?
They are stretching for light. Turn your light up. It’s only a 100 watt light.
You’re going to need more lighting to flower 2 plants. You should have ~150 to 200 watts per plant.
Cannabis does best if they are never misted. It risks more problems than it might solve.
I’ll turn it up thank you I didn’t know
So I turned up lights up to 100 percent and measured the PAR from the plants canopy to be 400 so that put me at lights being 27 inches away from plants does that sound correct ?
Yes, this is good. In general:
Seedling: 300 PPFD
Veg: 600 PPFD
Flowering: 800 PPFD
Got it thanks so much I readjusted to 50 percent in lights PAR of 315 which put my lights at 22 inches away from the plants and added soil on top without watering just placed the moist plastic zip lock bag over it here is the after
A little more won’t hurt them. You want to arrest the stretching. @jdw made a great suggestion above. Add some soil to the pot to support the plant better. You will eventually need to transplant. Bury the plant up to its neck when you do and she’ll do just fine.
You’re off to a good start.
Not September yet, was this just a typo? Lookin good and I see you added some soil. My baby popped her head out on 8/29. They could be sisters at first glance.
Haha just noticed definitely a typo I meant August 28 they were planted their sisters
