pH dipping - Photo - Droopy - Yellowing

If you don’t mind me asking, What’s the “ec” after all of your readings?
And what is your current lighting conditions?

Electrical conductivity just another way to measure ppm😁

But different :grin:

Crazy is right, EC or electroconductivity is a conversion of PPM to EC

Example
EC is simply PPM x 2
So 100 PPM = 200EC

Am I mistaken when I’m thinking that PPM is typically half of EC?
So if I am reading 1800EC, I can expect my PPM to be 900?
So my confusion is this… “Ppm702 ec”

It would also depend on which scale your meter is using

Yea, I was just confused about the way it is written as “Ppm702 ec”. So I guess we assume that is a PPM reading, and not an EC reading. I just don’t think I’ve seen it written that way before. Different strokes…

Oh yea it will confuse you for sure it still dose me some times when i see nubers then gota check if its an ec,ppt,ppm,us,ms to many different ways but what ever works best for the grower😁

@Metalheadfred

1.) exactly how much water are you giving each individual girl and how much runoff water are you catching from each individual girl?

2.) How long has the wilting been an issue?

The wilting looks pretty bad and if it’s lasting for days, it’s not a good thing. I truly sympathize and feel your frustration with this. I’m doing everything I could possibly think of to assist you.

At this time you need to go through the process of elimination.

What makes leaves wilt
I’ll start with the most common reasons.

1.) over and under watering
2.) extreme heat stress
3.) poor drainage due to
Compact soil, no perlite, restricted drainage
4.) Root Rot
5.) PH imbalance (restricting nutrient uptake)
6.) pests and pathogens
7.) too much nutrients

I’ve read over this thread several times trying to wrap around my Peewee brain something that stands out to me and it just ain’t smack me in the face.

A: Your feed intake and your runoff PPM don’t alarm me of any nutrient overfeeding whatsoever.

B: they look textbook over-watered
Nevertheless, you say they’re bone dry when you water them so I have to believe you.

C: I unfortunately cannot rule out root rot I’ve seen these behaviors before and root rot was the culprit. Root rot in 4 separate plants seems like a reach in my opinion. But I’m not going to rule it out yet

D: it looks as if you have sufficient amount of perlite mixed into your soil. As long as your soil is draining easily and it’s not compact in any way I would rule out this is an issue

E: your runoff PH numbers have improved in the last couple of feeds since flush. Nevertheless, your early reported numbers prior to flushing were too low for my liking

Any type of overwatering issue prior to me joining in can do the damage to the roots. I saw this about 3 months ago with a wonderful lady started watering her plants too fast due to her schedule and in 30 days time the entire crop was a root rot. I’m not saying this is your issue but God it looks just like it.

I’m kind of out of brick wall so I’m going to tag a few people and get some more insight.

@OGIncognito
@Storm
@Growdoc
@Low

I want you to also keep in mind that you just rectified your issue a week ago and have just got your pH back in good range. Recovery takes time. It can take weeks to show improvement. Sometimes things will get worse before they get better.

Ec on that would be 1700. I stopped recording that because it was always 2x the ppm(500 scale)
Lighting:
Aci 2x4 iongrid T24 260w
Aci 2x4 ionboard S24 220w
Aci 3x3 ionboard S33 260w
Been trying to maintain about 900 or higher ppfd. 20" above canopy. Was at 90% but i backed it down to 80% after the flush last week due to the poor shape they were in. They actually started coming around looking better and was planning to crank the lights back up to 90% after the last water 2/6 but with the major wilt i thought i better not. Idk getting pretty frustrated :confused:

Thanks

I reread your question.
If you meant ec of the runoff, i didnt record that.

Thanks

How long is the wilting been going on? @Metalheadfred

Looking back thru post nothing really jumps out at you. You walked him through the flush perfectly, that should have fixed them. The pics look like classic overwatering from the plump looking leaves. I don’t think they’re big enough to be root bound but if overwatering is, or was a factor, I wouldn’t rule out root rot even though not likely in all them.

I agree @Growdoc and thanks for taking the time to review and adding your input. :v:

Little aggravating deals like that are why I left soil and will never go back.

With flushing, you basically run out you’re microbial life in your soil. This needs to be replaced. As I recommended to you before

Advanced nutrients products below will give you back the macrobial life your plant needs

Voodoo juice (microbial life)
Bud Candy (microbial feed)

:crazy_face: that DOES look confusing lol
I copy and pasted that from my journal which still had the column for ec when i was recording it er. I stopped recording since it was consistantly double the ppm.
Sorry about that…baked

And yes 500 scale :+1:

Thanks

Absolutely looks like overwatering i know and thats what makes me nuts lol.

I was lurking here for months before i started this grow and know everyone here is a stickler for drench to drought(in soil). Rings around the seedlings at the begining etc… followed all to a t.

@lostgirl
Only “issue” i can really think of this grow was mid to low 60° temps at lights out for about a week and a half or so which noticeably slowed growth. Rectified with heater and controller and they all started filling out.

They did have a little wilt after watering since early veg but always perked up the next day. Wilt has just gotten worse the last couple weeks and lasting longer further into flower.

Idk but i will definitely give those products a whirl asap try to salvage what i can lol.

REALLY not liking the ph thing with foxfarm.

Thanks
