Ok , this started a while ago with some dodgy Bubba Kush (imported) medical weed . I was experiencing extreme dry mouth and throat , especially at night while asleep . I knew the cause so I changed the strain to Jade from Tasmanian Botanics (domestic) . Then it got worse , I cant even vape my own without getting a very , very dry throat . It almost resolved and then returned . So vaping , smoking is getting tough . I do make a tea but I’m not sure that helps either . Saw the doc , he said my throat looks inflamed but I don’t have thrush or an infection . I use mouth lubricant but it doesn’t help much . Anyone else had or have this problem ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated . Peace .

Of " CHS " Cannabinoid Hyperemesis syndrome, it doesn’t directly cause a sore throat but it could be the culprit, Sounds like you probably smoke the hell out of your weed
Like I do in the mornings with my coffee 
Between all the smoke traveling down from Canada, and the Saharan dust trapped in the Jet stream dumping god knows what on all of us, at times when I have had way too much herb, my throat will get irritated too !
Hot herbal tea with honey, that’s my go to remedy, hope you’re able to get back on track

Thanks , I’ve tried all that and all the stuff the pharmacist gave me , waiting for the doc to call me back , it’s worse since last night . driving me crazy . It’s an infection for sure but don’t know if it’s a virus or a fungal infection . I swear the stuff they gave me has made it worse lol . And I don’t think it’s cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome no nausea and I feel fine , I never get sick , that’s what bugs me so much about this . Really annoying , Peace .

hope you’re doing better today, myself I DO NOT TRUST DOCTORS, many have been instrumental in all the deaths of my family members , I bet that while you’re eyes are wondering around the exam room on a doctor’s visit, that you have seen a book in his or her office that is about 3" thick and colored
Green, called the Tabers Medical cyclopedia,
Doctor’s use it for a reference tool , take your
Height, weight, blood pressure, probe around on you ETC , then have you describe what is going on with ya , then here comes the nurse to take blood from you, and then your shoved
down the road, the doctor in his down time will study your case and look it up in the Tabers Medical cyclopedia, and will use it to " TRY "to diagnose what’s giving you problems by cross referencing your symptoms in the book, and in the meantime your insurance is being charged huge $$$$$ , brother I had a doctor charge my insurance 3 times for a visit on the same day¿? , I just thought to share my experiences with you, in case that your unaware of the Tabers Medical cyclopedia

Sounds like to me too.
That mold is nasty stuff to get rid of if ingested.
May need a steroid to help get things back on track again.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen , this stuff having mold would mean that the medical weed I also use was contaminated which would make sense . As I had a problem with it . I’m taking anti-fungal meds as of yesterday . I’ve known this doc for over 10 years and I know by the things he says and agrees with the sometimes wild things I say to him . We’ve had conversations that would get him struck off the medical roll . I’ll be seeing him again on wednseday and will bring up the mold possibility with him . He once said he gets a lot of his information about weed from me lol . I really don’t think he is aware of the medical weed shortcomings . I know it sounds like I’m defending him but I know him better than most , i know his kids and his wife . We live in a small town . We’ve had many an anti death shot conversation . He agrees with me totally . There are a lot of things doctors are forced to do here , he said if that shit happens again he’ll be finding something else to do . Anyway all that said , I think you guys are probably right . Hoping the antifungal drug works . If you have a pension card here , the vast majority of medical treatment is free , if you work you pay a percentage of your tax into medicare and a small co-payment is paid . Private medical insurance is an option for fasttracking certain treatments but it’s mostly the same only expensive . Again thank you guys for your help .

Just scanned a couple of buds with an ultraviolet light , pretty much all purple fluorescence , no bright green/yellow or white dots anywhere . No smell , feel or visual signs and no fluorescent areas . I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s mold . It’s harder to tell with the medical weed as there is much less fluorescence with that stuff , Mine , all bright purple , theirs , patches of purple and mostly no reaction , just a pale green vegetable . The stuff is bone dry but leaves a sticky feel on your fingertips . Mine , covered in trichomes all over everywhere , theirs , what trichomes lol . So no evidence of mold doesn’t mean no mold but it’s looking that way .

I suppose it could be any bacteria and not necessarily a fungal issue. Did the doc try running a culture?

I’ve found with me that anything with synthetic terps sprayed on will cause sticky even tho dry.
Edit : insecticides usually make me cough right away on the first pull of a J.

All this so called medical rubbish is the same , dry as a dead dingo’s donger and super harsh . I can’t smoke a full cone , I just fill the hole in the cap . It’s hard to vape this crap as you get zero vapour at 180-190C , I turn my vape up to 220C which is good for one go then i have to turn it back down . So yeah the stuff is an impossible lie . Ha AI says I might have mono fever lol , but I strongly doubt that . Sausage mentioned insecticide , it would surprise me as this aint getting better , at least no yet . Gonna be a long sleepless night . No weed or weed tea , damn . Peace .

When we were kids we smoked a cigarette sprayed with Scotchguard. I coughed for a month. Might try some natural throat remedies? Honey, warm saltwater, ice pops.
