Grabbed a Planet Of The Vapes One dry herb vape mod the other day. My Doctors are telling me I’m heading towards COPD so I am taking some precautions. I already quit smoking… Jeees … was that an irritable couple of weeks but I did it! I’m clean from nicotine!
Now I just need to find cleaner ways to get cannabis flower smoke into my lungs.
I read the reviews before I made the purchase for the device and they were all good. Seemed like no issues with it so I pulled the trigger.
Does anyone have any experience with these devices?
I’ve got the xMax V3 Pro dry herb pen, love it! Much cleaner on the lungs, doesn’t smell like weed so I can use it while I walk Sheba on the trails without people giving me the evil eye. I start mine at about 380F for the first 4-miute session, then move it up to about 410F for the next 2 or 3 4-minute sessions. The taste is better at lower temps than at higher, but you get more goodness at the higher temps. The high isn’t as heavy as if smoking a joint or a bowl. Very nice way to start the day actually!
Congrats on your purchase, and on quitting smoking cigs!
Same here, what I have and I also love it.
@MartyMarajuanaseed Yeah, it’s much easier on the lungs.
Sorry about your lung issues, though congrats on quitting cigarettes, being nicotine-free, and taking the dry herb vape plunge!
I can’t speak for the One vape, but with my xmax v3, the battery needs charging at just below the 1/2 reading, it sneaks up on me, lol. I bought a 2-pack of the same rechargeable batteries (~$14 on Amazon) to quickly swap them out, so problem solved.
I think that POTV has “dosing capsules” for their One, I have them for my xmax. They are very convenient for having different strains available or just to have extra sessions quickly available when you fill them in advance.
Oh yeah, for connoisseur time, lol, I can taste the flower really well, though also at high temps I can taste the flower MUCH better than from smoking.
A bunch of good info
@MartyMarajuanaseed congratulations on purchase and being nicotine free!!!
Thanks @Spudgunner. I did notice that the high was different. I did 3 four minute sessions all at different temps and yes, at 420 degrees I noticed a better “buzz” per set. It is a nice morning intro. I do agree. It’s not too intense.
That was one thing I was worried about with the POTV 0ne, it has a built in battery so once that quites holding a charge it’s game over. You cannot run it while the USB is connected either.
Thank you for the link.
Sounds very interesting for sure I’ll have to check this device out. I’m a old school water pipe person rarely every smoking a bowel or joint. Congratulations on winning the battle of nicotine. I’m sure that was a hard battle to fight. Hope this device works well for you. Edibles may as well.
I have no experience with the POTV ONE. I have two POTV Lobo vapes and I love them. The replaceable battery was the main feature that steered me to the Lobo.
Enjoy your vape.
Congratulations on becoming nicotine free! That is a huge accomplishment that you will not regret. I am 14 years 1 month clean after smoking for 36 years.
I am unable to inhale smoke. The dry herb vape has changed my life.
Oh, I had many addictions! I had many ferocious appetites that needed fed constantly! I over came them one at a time with no help. No NA or AA meetings or rehabs or therapy of any sort. I tried all of that and it never worked. I found out what does work for me and that’s just plain wanting to. I finally wanted out of it. I came to terms with everything and it was either do or die. So I did, I put it all down and starved it out of me until I despised anything to do with that lifestyle and ended up regretting all my past failures and bad decisions. I’m hard on myself, I always was. I was going to die. So now that all the drugs and other vices I had are not an option anymore, I need to deal with life on its own terms without running of to the needle and spoon and pretty women to take the pain away. It’s full on and in my face! Now I need therapy, now I talk to a counselor to get all my square blocks in the square holes because it’s all new to me. I’ve never faced a day sober until 2015 and haven’t looked back. I even quit smoking pot back then for a couple months but, that’s a keeper. If I would have just stuck to weed, I would have been a millionaire!
It’s a lot different than smoking it. It’s a very mild but uplifting high and it has a different flavor than what I’m used too. It’s one of those things that has to grow on you, like acquired taste sorta thing.
100% agree.
I just grabbed one of these too. After reading your reply and then doing another search I realized that a Convection vape would be better all the way around and seeing I’m enjoying the POTV 0ne so much I figured, ehhhh what da heck. Now I will know the difference between Convection and Conduction and see for myself. And it has a replaceable batter unlike the One. I’ve burned through many 18650’s. They only last a couple years if your lucky.
Damn, I’ve been using mine twice daily for year and a half now! But the battery still lasts for 2 dog walks. One session at 195C and 3 at 210C per walk, sometimes only half of the 4th session, sometimes I’ll fire up a fifth! Gets charged mid-day between walks, that way the morning one I can puff until almost dead (me and the battery!). Afternoon walk can be less puffing since I know I’ll still have 4 joints to smoke after dins!
Samsung must’ve upped they’re game on the batteries then. I noticed it’s a light blue wrapping. Those are they’re higher end 18650’s. I remember using a lot of lime green Samsungs back in 2017 when I was vaping on a regular basis. Also depends on what shelve they pull them from. They have A’s B’s and C’s on the quality ratings
So far I’m loving the POTV X Max V3 way better than the POTV One. Vape is much tasty and potent over a conduction vape. Convection all the way! I wished I wouldn’t have even gotten the One now.
Yeah, I really like the flavour and the milder high, especially for the morning walks. I’ve never been much of a wake’n’baker, but this is nice after coffee for a stroll in public!
