Looks good. I remember my first bud wash. I was like β€œwhat” you want me to dip my stuff in water! Right? Ya me too… But i did a side by side comparison washed and not washed on the same plant. Washed wins everytime. Now i even wash my indoor. Not much of a wash more like a rinse. But the weed tastes better :call_me_hand: imo

I wash everything. But hust some advice for next time, cut the big fan leaves. Itll help with with the wash and itll also allow more airflow after your wash. Good job !

That is cool i was just discussing this yesterday. Because I have my first outdoor grow ever having to deal with bugs and dust. There was all sort of suggestions on google search to wash buds.

I full support and practice (now), bud washing.
My question for today, is:
I grew some outdoor weed for seed harvesting. It has been washed-hung-and dried…
A month of dry time and I have harvested seeds from the material.

I question if washing β€œhurt” the seed crop.
Too soon to test viability, but I will, soon.
Anybody have experience about washing weed and seed harvesting?
Thanks

Thats a good question… i dont think that bud washing will hurt the seed. There is a protective layer around the seed and youre not dunking it long enough to hurt anything.

I probably do more damage while recovering the seeds.
Destroys the buds, for sure.

How much/ what concentration of hydrogen peroxide did you use ? And how long do you leave the branches in the peroxide?

Reasonable questions. Thanks for the memory adventure.
Last fall, with aphids (present indoor, from spring outdoor clones), The concentration was strong, but seeds were not involved.
This fall, with seed harvesting in mind, regular wash, One Quart H2O2 and distilled, Four gallons of water, wash and rinse.
Hang and Dry for a week, box dry for a month.
Seed recovery went well, I hope.
Learned, never again., for seeds.
Easier and cheaper to buy.
