We have some bugs outdoors so looking at bud washing at harvest…does anyone have any pics of the finished product…we read that it changes the look of the buds but can’t seem to find any pics…thanks…

Other than maybe looking darker because they are wet, there should be no change in appearance. They will look like they do after a rain shower.
I don’t have the link and am too lazy to look it up but there is a good bud wash video on youtube.

It doesn’t change the appearance unless you’re washing too vigorously. Then the buds may look a little smashed.

Nice buds drying. I believe they are my pictures lol. that’s about 2 years ago. I used peroxide and baking soda in one bucket, and clear water in the next. Amazing how much junk and critters come out. Those were grown in a greenhouse, mostly open to the outside

I wash all mine. These we’re washed, and dried, and this pic was when they were getting ready to be jarred up. It was a gorilla glue. The pic was for fun. I got 7 dried ounces off of it.

Does it hurt the consistency of the buds? Like makes the buds softer? Sorry for all the crazy questions but this is an experiment yr…lol. not a great crop, lost 4, planted more late, so trying all sorts of things to see what works…thanks everyone
First wash - high ph water (tap) with baking soda -
2nd wash - peroxide with lemon juice
3rd wash - rinse
buds are amazing to the touch when dry
Indoor - same routine
let them drip dry a bit

I grow outside in 2 greenhouses I wash my buds 1st bucket water, lemon juice and baking soda 2nd peroxide and water 3rd bucket plain water. I think they come out looking way better when washed. The amount of stuff that washes off is crazy

Did budwash here, it changes the look of the bud because it removes all the dust. Makes em look crisp and clean and fresh. Youll see when you wash yours. I do a bud wash every harvest.

Then after dried and sweating in a box
Hope this helps answer your question a little…. In other words, once it’s was dried and cured a little etc, made no difference to the appearance/taste/smoke whatsoever, probably made it look better if anything

I wouldnt say little to no on the taste, unless you kept some unwashed and smoked it side by side. Smoking dust and hair and such is gonna effect the taste. Dust is made up of fly wings, skin sells bug poo and more. No way that doesnt affect the taste.

@Docnraq yeah that’s true, I always bud wash mine too so I suppose I don’t know the difference between washed and not washed yet, I’m too worried to not wash them as I panic about black ash 
so I make sure to bud wash regardless
