Same. I’ve tried most of them out there, this one is as simple as it gets. Never burned a plant using it either.

Oh ok I finally figured it out. I see the Jack’s part a & b on Amazon but no magnesium sulfate. I’m assuming that is needed as well? I’m sure you can tell I’m new to this

A bag of plain Epsom salt is the 1 in the formula. Just don’t get a scented one. Happy growing :call_me_hand:t2:

Yep, as stated above, just hit the local cvs or Walgreens and get plain magnesium sulphate (epsom salt)

Ok thanks guys. So at what point do I start the Jack’s and do I use the same mix the whole way through the grow?

I meant the strength of mix

I like the GH flora series plus CaliMagic. Less than $50 will get you through 3-4 grows

Growing in soil or hydroponics? I’m in hydroponics air cubes and using GH Lucas formula, just need Micro and Bloom. You won’t need the grow.

Can you show me a link for that?

Growing in soil

Which soil are you using?

Any powder/crystalized nutrient set up would be ideal. Better shelf life, more customizable, generally cheaper, and doesn’t look like obvious nutrients.

Jacks is my go to, but there are several like it. The bottled nutrients are basically pre mixed from powders. They do not go as far as the ones you have to weigh and mix yourself. However, if you want to pay for convenience, go for it.

Just food for thought. If your only growing a plant here and there, jacks can take you a long ways for a fraction of the cost of any liquid nutrient line.

I’m a home grower but grow commercial like and jacks fits the bill. Any other line would double or quadruple my costs. Fire results.

BobbyDigital I mostly use Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Should I be using something else?

Is this stuff good for a soil grow bj262003?

Low that’s some informative stuff. I’m starting to see that Jack’s is the way to go
Question - at what point in a grow cycle do I start applying Jack’s and is it the same strength throughout? Maybe just help me figure out how to exactly use it for a grow cycle

It really depends on the medium you are starting with. Most cannabis geared mediums have enough nutrients to last 4-6 weeks, at that point is when you would begin to feed. The problem is quality to control with mediums. So you’d have to run water through it, use a TDS meter and a pH meter to see where that medium is in terms of nutrients.

If you want more control, look into coco. Coco inevitably leads to daily feeds. But it’s inert and it only has what you feed. Another option is a peat based medium. Inert but requires dry backs like soil. Good for the average farmer, bad for the environment as it’s non renewable.

There is a lot involved with this. So are you looking for more
Laid back, or more control?
