Newbie: want to train or manage height…

I’m outdoor growing where it’s legal, but in a neighborhood with more squares than not, so I want to manage the height. Is it too late to LST? I planted her towards the edge of pot, thinking I would LST. Her stalk is pretty stiff.
Any other suggestions about managing height?
(Should I top her again?)

Thanks in advance!

I LST all the way to last few weeks of flower. I use A scrog net and slight tucking and spreading for height contol and air flow. I would not top as it looks to be starting to flower.
I wish my neighbors were square I have the opposite problem my plant will walk away. I use cameras and my dog. They kicked in my privacy fence the dog broke the chain and they scrambled to keep the dog in the fence with trash cans. My dog still holds a grudge he growls if they are within a block.

You could do this. Suppercrop.

Think this would be big enough for my single plant?

No problem there. I do a 2x4 scrog so ive never tried in less dimensions.

Is she photo or auto? If photo I would go ahead and bend her over and start it. If auto i do not see a lot of height to stress. They TYPICALLY flower at maturity though can get misfires and huge growth or an early flower and stunt a bit. Auto can be like a box of chocolates. Just never know. If misfire treat as photo and can supercrop easily at that point.

She’s photo (white widow).

Should I try and work the stalk to loosen it up down low or just where she can bend naturally/easily?

Should be soft. After a water usually a little more limber. If takes a couple days to get it over thats ok. Bit at a time if feel too much pressure.

I use the “LST CLIP” so it is easy to slowly bend the main stalk around the clip. Just pinch and lightly twist stem and bend around the clip. Surprisingly easy. I bend at the 8/9 nodes tall back to the 5th node my purpose in letting her go so tall is to allow the lower branches grow up to the height of the net instead of having to remove them. I get at least 8/9 extra colas from the lower branches and the top section. I do it for Yield but it will solve your height issue.

These seem very handy. I’ll see about getting some.

They come in a few sizes, 90’,45’ ect. Amazon is your friend.

Have some clips coming. Should I train her below where I topped (see arrow)? And then do the rest of the branches as well? Or wait until she gets a little more height, so the bend is right below the scrog?

You topped the middle. Bring the side branches down as close to middle level as SAFELY can. The center will start up. As the sides settle in can slowly get them down even with center. Over a couple days or a week. Once an even canopy they ALL will seek dominance and you just keepem even. Just my thoughts. Just harvested last 2 in 5x5. Here are the branches.

The reason i let the main branch grow taller is to let the bottom branches (normally cut off) to reach the scrog. Then i suppercrop the main branch to the scrog height so now all branches reach. I pick up about 8+ colas this way.

End result!

Damn!

I did this yesterday evening. Should I pull the clips and let her get a bit taller or just ride this one out?

(I got a scrog that is 21x21 inches so that my pot can remain mobile and I can put into shed for 12/12 towards end, probably compromising some yield for flexibility - not pictured/setup yet)

Just remember to remove the clips once the branches harden off.
