Not better. Different. More work to me… What i do requires anly water between ammends.
Easy to tell overfeeding. Been growing non stop 20+ years. See the leaves starting to look waxy. That is sign of too much nitro. Also the tips of leaves and sides turning yellow from nute burn
Coco coir is much more poreous than dirt making it highly open to air and it does not require biome boosters simply put, you can use normal npk with calmag. (Calmag is an absolute must for coco.) As a booster can give some water with tbsp molasses and tsp epsom salt per gallon every 3 to 4 days. I use a 70/30 coco perlite mix and use 8" drip rings on a delay that every 5 minutes, 30 seconds of nute solution is pumped. Saves me ton of time. I just have to check EC/PPM and PH. Reservoir solution switched weekly.
1 plant has this… the next is waxy
Then 2 normal lol
Whats going on?
Temps is at 83 and rh is at 55%
When i water i ph it to 6.8
Using miracle grow ( which i found out i was over nutes. ) so now the last 2 waterings were just phd water and cal mag
With Miracle Grow, the problem is slow release nitrogen that if not watched, can cause serious leaf burn and harsh chemical taste.
Check this link if you want to go that route.
As for difference in each plant, simply put Genetics of the seed makes the difference
-The plant that looks normal just has higher tolerance to nutes and stress.
-The waxy plant is just at threshold of Nitrogen.
-The burnt plant has the lowest tolerance.
You can take a 2 liter bottle and poke a hole in it where a Q tip can be inside hole and water drips slowly. Tape a big stick to outside that you put into dirt of the pot and let water drip slowly.(Q-tip has to be above the dirt)
You can mix bottle with 4ml nutes per L in one, 3ml per L in the second, and 1ml per L in the third if for example you used 4ml per L for all.
With PH on soil, there is a trick. Test the run off. The difference between the run off and input will be your soil PH. If it is for example 6 input and run off is 7, to get the soil to 6 PH for example, the PH would have to be around 5 PH like Rain water.
