New to all this.. tested run off

Now that you told us that, pest is acidic, which unless buffered could drop the ph of the media. I’m starting to understand the importance of a support ticket….

Good catch, those nutes will be timed release for sure.

Even the peat has added nutes. You can still try flushing to get the nutes you added out, but MG soil and peat both having nutes has to be hot. I would find a different soil and transplant them if it were mine. Try adding perlite for airiness, it’s ph neutral and does great.

What kind of soil would you recomend?

Saw that. As Doc says your soil is hot. Also acidic. Soils I recommend dont have to be expensive. I build from unammended or very lightly ammended organic potting soil. I dont care who makes it. I am going to fix it. First build is worm castings. Worms. Perlite. The dirt. My dry ammendments and life. Cook a few weeks. After that I reuse over and over. Less of everything next round. Rinse repeat. This batch of soil is 2 years old.

I grow in Promix, I quit soil years ago. Lots of folks here use Fox Farms Happy Frog for young plants and starting and Ocean Forest for growing. Those will be properly ph’d for growing weed. Depending on your location, there are some good local made soils in most states.

Flushing can take 5 times the pot volume to even touch it.

Ok so im not gonna hurt her

No, you could run 100 gals thru without hurting her, just let her dry out good .

Let it be. Time release nutes just keep releasing i think. The girls look ok. Dont beat that horse. Ride it. No fox farms…no buildup…no flush. That soil has a 6 month ammend to it. Until we see her beg for another plate I myself would water, watch and let her adjust to that hot MG. I use dry ammend. I have overdone it more than once on an eyeball. Living soil. If I flush it i destroy the life I built. I ride it till she tells me get off and fix me.

As long as you dont let it stay soaked day after day you can absolutely do what Doc said. Hydro always submerged but oxygen is added to the water. Soil it will drown.

Are you saying that flushing kills or removes the beneficial organisms from the soil?

It can and dry ammend washes out. The reason we “cook” it is to break down the nutes into an easily absorbed state. Recovery and life rebuilding takes a bit unlike liquid nutrients.

So would these be better nutes to use??? And follow the schedule they posted??

Also if inuse coco coir for next grow how is that different that soil??

The main difference is watering practices and pH.

Coco must be watered daily, or every other day at a minimum. Coco becomes hydrophobic if it dries and it must be kept wet.

The proper pH range for coco is 5.8 to 6.2.

Your plant will experience faster growth rates in coco.
