First Water - High PPM - Low PH

Hello. So I started this in a solo cup with FFHF. I just transplanted it into a 3 gallon fabric pot using FFOF. I am using RO water so I added CalMag until my pen said 200ppm. Adjusted to 6.5 ph. Today I gave it its first water til runoff and I noticed my PPMs are very high. In the 5000s. Also my PH is very low now at 4.5. I have not fed anything besides the CalMag this time. I do not know what to do now. Should I flush it? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Normal for fox farms soil. Not all those ppms are available to the plant. Just keep going with water/calmag ph’d to 6.5 until the ppms get below 1000 then you can start supplementing nutrients.

Okay. Good to know. So what about the PH level. Should I need to worry about it being so low? Should I run some tap water until it gets to 6.5? I don’t want a lock out as it’s only about three weeks old.

If the plants are doing well, leave it be. I have plants in soil right now that the runoff ph is 5.1 and they’re thriving. The ph buffers in the soil are doing their job.

I use water collected from my RO Buddy System. If you Google “Your City’s Water Report” or something along those lines you should be able to snag a report of the content in it. My city’s is not as bad as others. But I just have the system on hand so thought I would use it. My PPM of the city’s water is only around 250PPM from my tap and a PH of around 8.4. Hope this helps.
An actual Report from your local source will have Magnesium content, copper, zinc, etc.

I use tap water (250ppm, 7.4ph) when adding nutes. It brings my overall ph right at 6.5 so I don’t need to ph adjust. On water only days I use RO water.

Thank you both for the quick replies!! I have a Rev Osmosis (RO?) On my house because I have well water. I did my first outside grow with virtually no rain using the water and didn’t have an issue, that I knew of…lol Stupid luck really with good results on a regular strain Sour Diesal.
Are these indoor auto flowers this critical? I need to buy more gear if so

Autos are finicky as shit. At least for me, lol. That soil should hold you, nutrient-wise, until you’re well into flower. So just add in ph’d water until then. I’d water to runoff every few weeks to see where your ppms are at so you know when to start feeding.
