anybody use ff nutes for autos, if so how much do you use per gallon, just trying to get a reference…i have gg autos in soil
What kind of soil?
yea i have this, but i wanna know actually how the plants are doing after going by this
lol, all i had when i started was mg moisture control, i flushed it some before i used it though
FF is top of the line
Are you checking your run off PPMs? That will tell you the condition of nutes in the soil.
I’d go with half or even a quarter of what the schedule recommends. FF is VERY aggressive and can cause toxicity issues leading to nute lock out.
You should ALWAYS flush by the schedule also.
The plants will look great and do great - right up until it locks you out. You can correct lock out, but it’s best to avoid it altogether if you can.
no i have no tool for measuring ppm, i just ordered 1 but my packages are always late and just getting ideas on what works for ppl until i am able to check runoff
Good evening all. I am in FFHF AND FFOF soil. I have been using FFT nutrients and worked my way up to full strength of the BB and TB. IM 6 weeks into flower and I a showing major cal-mag defense and very acidic soil. If you use FF nutrients flush your plants on schedule or use less than half the recommended amount!! JMHO!!
Also measure your PH and PPM going in and coming out!!Very important!!
when you get your meter do a plain water feed and take your numbers, if the PPMs are pretty high 1500+ I’d say, and the plants are looking good, let them ride and then when the time comes do another plain water feed and see what the numbers are. If the numbers are dropping then they’re eating and you could probably start with half or quarter dose of nutes. Ideally you want to catch the very first bit of ro to test and the PPMs should be lower, hopefully, than the PPMs of the feed. By half would be awesome! If not then you can dial it up or down based on what you’re seeing if if it’s higher or lower than the middle.
For example, if you’re feeding 1200PPM into the plant you’d want to see 600PPM in your run off.
If it’s lower than 600 up your nutes next feeding. She’s eating good!
If it’s higher, say 850 or above, I’d not feed nutes next watering and check them again. You want to see that ro PPM dropping to be sure she’s eating.
If you’re seeing 1000 PPM or more in your run off you’re getting close to toxicity and need to start correcting it with some type of flush.
Big ups @Flitme Outside FF was great, but I’m doubtful if I’ll ever use it inside again, and probably never at full strength.
I tried to brutalize my outside girls with it but they ate it up!! the sun and rain keeps it in check I think. Plus I think FF was developed for outdoor growing in the beginning.
I think your idea just might be right. On my nest grow I am going to give Jacks 321 a go!
I went to the Jack’s 2 grows ago and have no regrets. Issue free growing.
I use FFOF soil and Fox Farm Trio Liquid Nutrients. The soil kept my GSCExtreme auto good for 5 weeks, then I fed her half the recommended dose for two weeks and she’s been getting a full dose these last two weeks and also some cal-mag
My mistake was the flushes. The girls looked so good I’m like I don’t need no stinking flush!!
Right up till when i did!
My bad totally and I know lots of people get great results with it and never say never, ya know? LOL!
I’m using Jacks on my clone SoG with babies from those locked out Super Skunks. Pulled the clones pre lock out whew!!
Their doing great!!
Here’s 12 in a 2x4 LOL!
Happy Growing Everyone!!!
Keep an eye. Mine did great on full strength for about 4 week then all of a sudden the deficiencies popped up. I had been adding Cal-mag from the beginning of watering.
@Flitme ok, good to know. I watch her like a hawk anyway but I’ll definitely be on the lookout for any deficiencies. Thinking I got one, maybe two more weeks of feeding and then it’s flushing season for the last two weeks
Happy Growing Always enjoy seeing pictures!!
