Hello to all who stop by. I have been trying to grow for a while now without the help of a community to assist me with questions and problems as they occur. All of my seeds have come from ILGM, but this is the first time I have used the forum on their website. Most of my learning has been reading web pages coupled with trial and error. I hope, with your help, that I will be able to grow for my needs and wants.
A quick background on my experience. I began with little knowledge and far to little light and my plants grew tremendously tall with tiny, wispy flowers. After I got proper lights I kept burning them out in the seedling phase. I have spent most of this year trying to find the proper height for my lights. I believe that I am now finding the right mix to produce good plants.
My focus has been on Granddaddy Purple while trying to figure this out. I grow one plant at a time in an indoor ~2 x 2.5 closet using a Yaiyan Y-D20 400w light. My plants grow in a 3 gal bag with Fox Farms soil. I start the seed directly into a Peet pod in a 4” pot and transplant around day 10 (after sprout) into its forever home. (I know this isn’t recommended) I have removed the door and have a reflective, removable barrier with gaps at the bottom and top. A swivel fan blows air from the bottom while a second fan blows air from the top of the closet. This is on top of the typical fan gently blowing across the canopy.
I plan on starting a new strain (Runtz) in about 3 weeks. I will try creating a grow journal where I assume those with the proper knowledge will help me produce my best harvest yet. Thanks in advance for your help and support.
