How big of a grow space? I think a good reference is to get about 40 watts per sq ft of true wattage for your space. If your leds claim to be 300w then their actual draw is probably in the 100-150 watt range? I think 3 leds sounds good but if we knew your actual dimensions of your grow space, i.e. 5’ x 5’, 4’ x 8’ it would help us guide you in the right direction.

I use a viparspectra 300w LED and true wattage is 146w I believe. I have a small tent 2x2x4 and use 2 $6 fans from walmart. My light was like $80 with 3 year warranty.

Heres my girls ready to harvest tomorrow.

Your looking for full spectrum led lights 35-50 watts per square foot
With Leds you can get away with as little as 35watts per square foot I aim for the 50 watt mark my self
Viper spectra makes a good inexpensive light as well as galaxy hydro and roleadro all three where rates in the top 5 lights in the 300 watt category for 2017
And are priced decently all under 100 $
I use 4 three watts leds in my 4x4x7 tent for even coverage of my tent
Also as mentioned rated watts are miss leading go with the actual watt draw of the fixtures when sizing the light @Mr_Blackberre

Also, you will need more light during flower than during veg which means that you can start smaller and add lights as you grow (pun intended lol).

The closet I am using is 3×3 and I am gonna grow 3 plants instead of 5.I have lined the walls of the closet with aluminum foil

Thanks man the pics were really helpful looks good and congrats on your harvest

Thanks for the info I wasn’t sure what wattage to go by your info cleared it all up

Lol a good bad joke is always welcome here :joy:

Aluminum foil isn’t great for that application. It has a tendency to create hot spots. Consider using panda film, crinkled mylar, or a flat white paint.

Alright mate, cheers for the feedback and so glad that you think she is healthy, superb, so far.
Sour Diesel from RQS is the strain I have jotted down everything since I germinated SO I’ll refine that and post over the weekend.
Wondering if I should give it a little Fish Mix tomorrow. Just to see how it handles it.
Regards

Just properly ph’d water for now. You might want to be 16" to 24" for now and keep her covered so stays moist without watering too much

Thought so and I am glad now I checked. Cheers bud

Cheers pal, lowered plant as advised and covered with plastic dome. Besides the proper pH, should I keep her covered for a day, week or what?

Another week or so should see a tap root.

You should have almost completely dry soil and provide most of her water needs through the humidity. Spraying the inside of the dome twice a day should be enough. You do NOT want wet soil FYI. If you don’t have a crap ton of holes in the solo cups you should do that now.

How are you determining your ph? When did you calibrate last?

If you are in soil, your plants won’t need any nutes for the first 6 weeks but would be safe to start following a nutrient schedule once she’s 8" or so high.
