hello so I have a quick question concerning lights. so I bought a grow tent came with a 300led light. Ihave been looking at journals and see some amazing height and plants and got me wondering I am only growing 1 in the tent its a ww and at about 2 weeks this is her

I want to ensure she is on schedule she is an auto flower and im a lil worried she is too small. so I was looking at grow lights and can afford a 1000w led light that should fit but would it be too much for her? and would it raise my temp? just curious would like to know any help would be great

one last thing I am currently looking at this light what do you all think and any suggestions for getting into the top of my tent??

If you can afford a little more I would buy the hlg 100w for $150. Dont get the purple light. Its going to run super hot. Also what size tent?

36x20x63 it came with a 300w led. I have a huge 250 hlg I believe here is a picture of that

noctis420 sorry these were for you. I wish there was a chat room so it would be easier to interact :frowning: I am trying to do this inside tent only due to different reasons 1 being illegal state but maybe later using this big heavy monster(the pic attached last post will be better) so any suggestions?.

Hey the big 1000k light isn’t worth it it only consumes 180w

B1000 only consumes 180W±3%, the electricity

@noctis420……….im a beginner reading every day that just flew right over my head…lol so im looking for a good light not too expensive that I can use start to finish put into the tent. heat would be an issue as I am not always in the room. also a way to keep light up and movable within tent (higher and lower) any suggestions?

So that tent us 3ft by I use to use Mars hydro 600w purple leds and I’m telling you they are burning hot.

Here is the specs for the 150w hlg.

High Efficiency HLG-100 Board in 3000k or 4000k.

Equivalent to 220 Watt T5, 300 Watt CFL, or 200 Watt metal halide. This lamp is great for small grows or use more than one for larger gardens. You can also use the HLG-100 V2 for supplemental lighting. This lamp features 192 Samsung LM301B LED’s.
This is the footprint.

  • Flowering Footprint: 2’ x 2’
  • Veg Footprint: 3’ x 3’

The light is extremely light and runs cool. Don’t be fooled by the fake 1000k. Those lights are a lie 90% of the time. You could probably run your current light with the hlg and do quite well in that tent.

Yes purchase some rope ratchets to adjust the light. The hlg is 150 but it’s really worth it. You can veg and flower with it too. I use the hlg 65 to veg regularly tho. They are pre assembled starter lights. In my opinion.

Yes it comes with hangers. Growerslights dot com go to led>brand> horticulture lighting group and scroll to the bottom.

@Noctis420… I have a few questions and I need simpler answers if you can and dont mind. what specific led bulbs (cheapest ones possible) that i can use in a little alum hood to grow a singular auto gsc extreme seed? also, how many do i need and whats an efficient, cheap way to vent and keep cool in a small trailer closet. I’m working on a “broke bitch budget” please help

Well first …hmm roughly what size is the space? If it’s really small I probably would get daylight cfl bulbs to start. Trying to picture it in my head… do you already have an alum hood?

yes… i actually have a reptile double light hood that would be perfect if i can use it with the proper bulbs. i grew before with my exhusband and he made everything himself basically. even a grow tent with pvc pipe, black plastic and velcro and it worked really well for an extra bathroom that we had. the space i have now is 6 or 7 ft in height by roughly 5-6 ft. i am about to try and send a pic of some bulbs i found… and thanks for your time and help!!!
