Need some help with airy fluffy buds 1st harvest

I just started curing my blue dream auto. This is my first grow, i have some really good size buds but they’re fluffy and airy. No density. I have some nugs that weigh 7-8 grams alone so the size is there.
My set up…2x4x5 tent, 2-Mars Hydro Ts-1000 lights (300 total watts) Infinity intake and exhaust fans. 6 inch fan.
From what i can find, light is the main reason for density. I thought i did my research before buying this set up, multiple people had great results with these lights in bigger tents even. So im not sure if thats my problem or not.
Next was temp and humidity. I grew in my garage so i had some days that were mid to h8gh 80s and some days that were 70s but 60-70% humidity. I scheduled my dark time during the hottest part of the day to help with temps. I also left tent door open and vents alot. These hot and/or humid days didnt last more than a day but they were at least 1-2x a week.

Would my temp/humidity play that much of a factor? Im pretty bummed for my first harvest, plant looked great. (I still have a UK Cheese in the tent that will be ready in a couple weeks, a Sour diesel and Amnesia Haze that are growing outside that will be ready in 3-4 weeks. Any help is appreciated.

@Lph008 those look awesome for a autoflower buds when you cure them they will tighten up a little to there’s a thing in this group were they explain about proper curing nice color to them

Sativas are naturally a little lighter than Indica buds. Looking at your space of 8 sq ft you’ll need at least a minimum of 320 watts and optimum 400 watts. Those buds look nice by the way :love_you_gesture:

So you’re thinking lighting is the problem? I had 3 autos in the tent, then mid flower i pulled one and put it outside, so each plant had its own light. Im curing in Mason jars with 58% humidity packs.
I forgot, i used jacks 321 from week 4 and on, FF Strawberry Fields

That depends if each plant had the right amount of light distribution (DLI). Autos are naturally less dense than photo buds in my experience growing both. I’ve had some great dense buds from autos though. A light meter will help with DLI and PPFD and each stage of growth has a different DLI and PPFD :love_you_gesture:

Autos are kind of known for airy buds. Some do ok, but by and large they are not as dense as Photo period plants will produce.
On the plus side once you grind it up you wont know the difference.

Thats incorrect. 2 ts1000 would be 200 watts.
This light is only ok. Its not using the samsung lm301b/h diodes. None of the TS or FC-E lights do.

The buds you grow with these lights will be airyish.

I have both a ts1000 and fc3000 (no e) the ts is great for veg and the fc great for flower.

I have used the ts1000 for flowering a single plant, this is a bud I cut across the top to show its density.

You should be pleased with yourself for having a harvest. Not everyone is successful.

How much where you expecting to get as a final weight? Knowing that will help you figure out what you need to get it.

Im not bummed about the yield, im bummed about the airy nugs. I got 92 grams off this auto

According to Mars Hydro’s website, Ts-1000 is 150 watts

Stand corrected? I dunno, my light is only 100 watts…

Maybe the older ts1000 was 100? Not sure im a rookie, it says 1 light is good for 2x2 coverage in flower. So 2 in a 2x4 should be sufficient then…no?

Photoperiod plants are known for denser buds vs Autoflowers. This changes nothing about the quality of the bud. Equally as potent as its photoperiod counterpart.

Yes, for the density you have right now.
Thats the right size light but at the same token so is an sp3000 BUT its a much different light. That would have given you different bud density. Its all about the diodes. Better diodes, better light, denser buds. To the extent genetics allow.

Looking over your environment you did an awesome job growmie! Congrats. You can only get higher from here!

Thank you! I learned alot, i continue to research everything i can to improve. I have a UK Cheese that will be ready in the next couple weeks. If that one has the same airy nugs then im gonna have to rethink my set up a little sooner than i had hoped.
I already have a 3x3x6 tent that will be my grow tent and im going to use the 2x4x5 for my dry tent. I was hoping to put those lights in the 3x3 and do 4 autos at a time. Then my photo’s would be outside over summer

Youve got me stumped? What about the bud is it that is bothering you?

Its good to have a couple tents, 1 for drying is a must imo.

I wanna get outside so bad. Apartment living is sucky when you are growing.

I want the nugs to be more appealing. A Little density and full. If that makes sense lol. Im a bit of a perfectionist.

That bud looks great, the user manual says the TS-1000 is 150 watts. I have 4 of them, they work fine for me, I only use 75% power for full flower. (they are crammed into a 6x2 built in closet) lol.

The questiom wasnt about working good enough. Do a lil reading and you will find Im right about the quality of light. When talking about efficiancy and spectrum. Ts1000 not a great light. Flat out. Its just ok.
