Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice on my plant. It’s just under 7 weeks old and starting to develop some yellowing on the leaves. It just started showing up in the last week.
I’m using jacks321 ph’d to 6.5 every other watering. Everything else seems to be going along fine and the other gg (I have 2 total) is a bit behind this one but not showing any yellowing. Also, this plant has always been kind of a weirdo with some strange deformed leaves. In one photo you can see that there are some random 3 fingered leaves.
My 1st inexperienced thought is that I should bump up the epsom salt but thought I’d try to get some advice…
What strain: ilgm gorilla glue
Method: Happy frog soil
Vessels: 3 gallon fabric pots
PH of Water 6.5
PPM/TDS or EC of nutrient solution if applicable
Indoor or Outdoor indoor
Light system. 600w hps
Temps; 75-78 day and 68-70 night
Humidity; 45-50 rh
Ventilation system; Yes air cooled hood with exhaust fan
LandShark I’m not exactly sure. Ive been somewhat emulating @Hellraiser but I think when he switched to jacks he was in coco. I’m in happy frog and this grow is going night and day better than my 1st. With the feed every other watering I’ve been doing when I check my run off it’s around 1500ppm with ph usually coming out somewhere in the 6.2-6.8 range. Do those numbers sound about right?
This is odd… I’m inexperienced too so I cant give too much input, but I will say that Jacks321 is meant to be used each watering. It COULD be the cause of this if one plant is growing faster than the other due to genetics, therefore requiring more nutrients… Getting a dude like @Hellraiser in here on the issue would be of much better help. I know with his Coco grow he worked his way up to full strength I believe. At this stage in your plants life, I would say you probably need the full strength each watering…
Also, you are obviously in flowering, not sure how far you have yet either, but most growers do a flush and start giving straight water for the last few feedings. This is supposed to help get out the nutrients and result in a smoother smoke.
Your plant is starting to show deficiencies, mostly phosphorus and magnesium. The feed/water/feed method is not providing enough nutes at this point in flowering. I’d feed Jacks with every watering now.
With all the white pistils, still got a while to go, so I’d plan on feeding for another 2 weeks at least.
Thanks Hellraiser, I’ll be adding jacks with each watering from now until flush. I really appreciate your knowledge, my next grow I’ll be following you’re switch to coco closely!
Hey buddy, I’m running jacks in soil as well. I’m finding feed water feed water good for veg and late flower. Feed feed water for the stretch and first few weeks of budding. It’s a work in progress though, still playing around.
Makes sense, I probably shoulda been feeding each time for the last few weeks as I’m a bit over 2 weeks into flower. Still learning every day! Can’t wait for grow 3
