I’m wondering if any of you big auto growers have used Jack’s. If so, what was your feeding schedule from start to finish? I’m about to start my second run of ILGM White Widow Autos and am hoping to improve my yield.
@Lostgirl you mentioned that you’ve been using Advanced Nutrients at a reduced rate, which is what got me thinking on this.
My seeds are currently germinating, but I want to get a sense of amounts of nutes for auto plants.
Thanks to anyone and everyone willing to bestow some wisdom!!!
I think you’ve seen me Top, Remove Nodes, Supercrop, LST, and significantly prune autos as well trying to keep them small; and I can’t remember the last one under a QP…I know my regime is different than most as I don’t amend or feed and I don’t own a PH pen or anything to measure PPM/EC, so YMMV.
If I recall correctly, you have more space, more watts, and better control of your environment than I do in my current run…how many grams per watt and plants would you be happy successfully growing every ~3 months?
I use jacks , i grow photos only in soil. But I feed to jacks 321 schedule ph after mixing 6.1 veg 6.6 flower. I don’t flush just feed PH water last week. Only other thing is i do add one teaspoon molasses every other feed. I pretty much feed on a every third day. Example: feed Monday feed Thursday feed Sunday. I feed just to run off , when they get to adult
Yes I find that advanced nutrients takes very little nutrients to satisfy the girls. Autoflowers I have a rule of thumb when it comes to nutrients less is more. To give you an example they call for 16 ml during flower of bass nutrients. I only use 4 ml of their base nutrients. It satisfies them perfectly. I have no idea if this will work for any other nutrients on the market but it definitely is my magic number with advanced nutrients. To put it another way I have never fed more than 1/4 strength and they’re always happy and healthy. I hope this helps.
Keep in mind your microbial/fungi life in your soil is most important to cater to. I personally find utilizing good microbial/fungi life and feeding it properly will maintain your soil and roots. I find this is a very overlooked in many people’s grow. A Happy clean root zone leads to a happy yield
I’m germinating four ILGM White Widows now. I’d like to get one pound off that, bit I haven’t even come close in my first two attempts. The journey is the adventure, right?
That’s what I’m trying to achieve! I know I had some slips with my environment on my most recent run. I thought the nutes were close, but there were times where the green was too blue and dark, if you know what I’m saying. Also, I was not consistent with testing my pH. That’s an area of focus this time around.
Yes, I recall reading your comments on only using 25% of the recommended amount of AN. What is the name of the base nutrient you use?
I hit the micronutrients hard on my most recent effort. I used TPS Billions, black strap molasses and Fish Sh!t.
I ordered that meter you suggested and should get it tomorrow. Once I have that I’ll be able to better watch pH, EC, PPM, etc. I’m hoping that will change my fortunes.
Hi blaze, below is an image of the pH perfect base nutrient trio from advanced nutrients. This can be purchased relatively cheap at your local grow shop. Amazon is slightly pricey at about $45 for all three and I see there’s a big shortage on Amazon for this.
I also suggest advanced nutrients vitamin supplement called B-52 during flower you’ll need to replenish your phosphorus and potassium. Advanced nutrients is a great source for that with their Big Buds
For what it’s worth if you go back to my latest journal somewhere in the top in the first few posts you’ll see a list of everything I use what it does and why.
I’m into the Jack’s and will probably use it up before I switch, but from what I’ve read their products are da bomb. I can also get it at my local hydro retailer.
