SK2 just sprouted!
So far that’s 4/6 I have going! =] Super happy with my ILGM seeds!! I can’t wait to see the end product of my first grow!
@Matthew420 for my water pot, can I use a 5 gal bucket, get the perfect ph and just use that until I need to refil it? That way I don’t have to test my water and mess with it every time I need to water?
You can, but I’d still check. PH changes believe it or not. Shouldn’t shift too far unless it’s evaporating or big temp changes. Still check and with luck it will be fine still.

Also, and you’re not there yet but so you know down the road… Adding nutrients will change the PH a lot. For me, it drops it way down. That’s why I do gallon jugs at a time - the nutrients are per gallon so it makes it easy to mix. Then I ph the jug.
Point being, if you PH your entire reservoir, you’ll need to do it again after adding nutrients. When you get there that is.
Hopefully that made a small amount of sense.

Yes that made sense. I will do the same thing eventually. My nutrients say to water with it once a week, so I’ll probably have a smaller 1gal of that, and I’ll just keep testing them before use and tweak if I need too

I started my first grow with the same light, Joe I upgraded to a 600w and I plan to put it in there the the 600w when it’s flower time. I’ll be following this. My tent is just a little shorter than yours and I love it. I started my first grow just 1 plant in a spare closet.
Yea, the app is a bit difficult, it’s a lot easier on the computer. So I’ve been doing it on there, and also keeping a hand written log in a note book. And I know the feeling! I’ve been just sitting in my tent and spending time with them while reading forums haha

Oh yea, I’ll have to try the computer one. My office is next to my grow room. Do the cloud thing with it to my iPad.
Just like my kids, my plants like to be read to a few hours a day. They are pretty fond of Tom Clancy right now.

Ha nice. The cool part about the app/ computer is both will auto sync. So you can put the info in on your computer, and just use your phone to check on it. I’m currently reading this book called bitter brew, it’s awesome. It’s about Anheuser-Busch and how they got to where they are. It’s sort of like scar face for beer haha

Quick question, since this is my first grow do you guys think I should use the nutrients I got in my kit? Part of me dosent want too, because it seams it will get crazy between keeping the PH perfect, flushing the roots and all of that, but part of does because I want a better yield. What do you guys think? How hard is to do? I’ve seen a lot of posts on nute burns, and deficiencies. I got my water to a ph of 6.5. I’m not sure what my soil ph is or how to test it, but my plants seam to be off to a good start. Also, how often do you guys water? I saw that the main problems for first time growers is too much or not enough water… I try to water when the top of the soil is dry, is this correct? Or should I be doing something different? My humidity is constant at 50% while the lights are on, and bumps up a bit over night, about 60/65%.
If your opinion is I should use, can you recommend the easiest starter brand possible. Right now I have stuff called Buddha Grow, and Buddha Bloom
Also when is a good time to turn my florescent off? And just keep the 18/6 with my leds? My seedlings are now all sprouted, and now growing

You can use the LED anytime if you place it at the right height. I might still use the fluorescents since they’re probably not adding much heat. Just don’t let them block the LED lighting.
You can also turn on the LED a couple hours a day gradually increasing.
Mine were about the size of yours when I moved them under the LED’s at 40" high.
