Well I did the posting wrong too. These two were planted on June 11th, four weeks ago. I assume from what I have read they should be a lot further along being Autoflower. They were planted in peat pots with a mixture of Blacks Roots organic mix and Premium Moisture Potting mix with some Perlite added. PH has been steady at 7 and I feed them once a week with a liquid plant food , 24-8-16. They are in house for now and the light is on for 14 hours a day. Moved the peat pots to the plastic pots a week ago. Any and all advice appreciated.
Peat pods were probably your set back. I’ve seen so many stunted plants for those. Sticking a seed straight into moist soil never fails for me. All you can do now is take care of them the best you can, and hope they don’t start flowering.
Welcome. I heard autos can flower anywhere from 5 to 10 weeks. They should stretch when they start to flower.
They look good.
I have only done photos so kinda going off of what I have seen on here.
Good luck growing!
Welcome to the community , I know the starter pots should break down over time but they can also cause a root bound problem. Plants look good . ![]()
And if you feel comfortable with doing another transplant, they would be happier in fabric or mesh pots or switch up next grow. Plastic pots tend to have drainage limitations, don’t allow enough oxygen to the roots and the roots tend to circle around the pot at the bottom (root bound).
Ph is too high. Try to get in the 6.2-6.8. I used to try to hit 6.4 or 6.5 but under 6 and over 6.8 is going to cause uptake issues in soil. I destroyed a whole scrog a few years back getting lazy with nutes and assuming my reservoir water was steady. Welcome to the forum.
Thanks all for the replies. I will work on the PH for sure. Could be why they are so small after four weeks. The peat pots, I sliced off the bottoms and sliced on four sides on each just for the reasons mentioned. I have 5 gal. grow pots for when they get a bit older.
If you are transplanting do it now I suggest. Put them in final pots and just roll.

Welcome to the community. I am new also, we’re in the same boat. Ive been growing tomatoes and other assortments of vegetables but, not until i started growing cannabis and joined this community did i realize that therez more than meets the eye to growing when your messing with cannabis… pH has to be correct. This is the most important part of growing cannabis. Make sure the water you put in the plant is 6.2 to 6.8 in soil and 5.8 in Coco or other soiless mediums. Then feed to about 1000 ppm’s and you will have nice plants. I personally try to stay away from any fertilizers or soils that create salt build up in the medium.
Autos are like mad Karens crying because someone didnt stir the koolaid counter clockwise 4 times on Saturday. They have a mind of their own. Their picky about nutes alot, they grow and flower on their schedule. Ive seen autos 6 inches tall and ive grown em 4 ft tall.
I use the peat pods for germination but when I transplant, I remove the outer netting. As far as autos go, I have never grown one more than 1.5 ounces so I stick with photos meaning I’m not any help in that area LOL
Sry if im an intrudor, but i would like to use an opportunity and ask for some expert advice.
How does my week 5 of grow look according to experts and should i change somwthing? Im open to any advice.
600w HPS with cool tube and exhaust fan
Got filter with one more fan and 2 more vents inside the room for more air control
Using 32 litre smart pots filled with plagron grow soil and perlite
Nutrients: Hesi Tnt, hesi root complex, power zyme and supervit, feeding them every second watering , somwtimes every watering.
Distance from light 25-30 cm ( 10-12 inches)
I did topping only once, i dont think my light can cover more bud sites, did lst and defoliation, and little lolipopping 2 days ago. Im prepping them fot flowering.
I would try treilising with nets, but id like to hear some expert opinions and what should i change?
Forgot about temp and humidity, humidity is 50-55, while i struggle with temp a lot coz i live in a hot area during summers ( 30 celsius often), i cant find a way to fight that.
Hoping to hear from someone with skme gangsta solution ![]()
This is Purple Haze strain.
Are they in peat pots? If so I’d try loose the peat. I pealed all mine off and stuck them back in the big pot and they really took off. From what I’ve read peat should be avoided because they tend to stunt growth.
Nah, they are in smart pots. My biggeat problems when it comes to my knowledge and experience are high temp and i struggle to line them up to all have same distance from light. But maybe im doing something else wrong.
When I struggled with heat in my last grow, I was advised to switch “day” and “night”.
My girls are lights out at 7 AM, lights on at 7 PM. This helped a LOT.
I don’t know about your type of light though, I believe they tend to run MUCH hotter than LEDs. You can leave your tent door open during their lights on period to try to let some of the heat out.
My tent is in an upstairs bedroom. When they get a bit too hot, I also put a large fan in the doorway of the room and blast the hot air out into the house.
If all else fails, you might need some kind of mini AC unit?
Where are you pulling your intake air from?
Welcome to the Canna-Fam Growmie. Sounds like everyone is pointing you in the right direction.
It’s the peat pots that are fucking the plants over. I had the same problem. I started 6 seeds at the same time. 2 in peat pots. One I transferred to final container pretty quickly. The other one I transferred without taking off the peat pot and it is weeks behind the rest. Just search for “peat pot” and you can read about it.
Yeah… Seems like “peat” is just another 4 letter word in canna circles…
