Auto flowering Plants not growing according to description

Help please. We planted 5 seeds March 3rd and they are only 6-8 inches tall. We have Autoflower, White Widow, put into 7gal grow bags April 3rd, they were about 3-4 inches. Room temp ranges 75-80 degrees, with 50 - 55 % humidity. Soil Ph 6.0 - 6.3. Non-treated Well Water Ph same. Soil combo of Miracle Grow all purpose garden soil, Miracle Grow Natues Care Organic garden soil, and Soilite potting mix . Room is 8’x7’, lined with shiny mylar (red cross heat blankets). 2 - 600 watt LED lights set on veggie.
Please help, what are we doing wrong. ILGM describes this plant as being at flowering in 8 weeks.

Looks to me like the website says flowers for 8 weeks not flowers at 8 weeks.

Autos should veg for maybe 5 weeks give or take before starting to flower. There are some exceptions, but that is what I would plan on unless specifically told otherwise.

You probably don’t have enough light for that large of space, but pictures would help us understand exactly what you’re doing. I would also be concerned that you are probably in a larger pot than you need to be and may have stunted it when transplanting.

My sentiments exactly. The flowering times listed are also just estimates under perfect conditions. The only given thing with growing weed is, that nothing is given :v:

LOL. Thank you. I am a beginner and I read it wrong. How long does it take, approximately, to grow to flower? Auto vs Fem? I posted pics, please let me know what you think.

The question is more about auto vs photoperiod. Feminized can come in auto or photoperiod. The times are all estimates like @repins12 said, and will vary some by variety. But I would plan on roughly 12 weeks or so from start to finish as a baseline. There certainly are some that will finish faster, and some longer. And variables such as environment and how well plants are cared for.

If I were new and wanting to perfect autos, I would hope to stumble across @Not2SureYet or @blackthumbbetty journals early.

Thank you!!! Did you have a chance to look at the pics? Do you think they look like I’m doing ok?

Attached. Thank you!

I think so. They’re maybe a little small for you said 5 weeks old? Could’ve been from transplant…

Yes 5 weeks. When you say in the transplant, my husband wanted to keep them in the peet pots and I insisted on taking them out for transplant. For the next set of 5, should we keep them in the peet pots and just add then to the bigger pot?
Will these still grow and flower?

I run a 12/12 from start to finish. My Auto has already flowered and she isn’t that old. Its by Nirvana called Blueberry Kush. I need to start adding nutrients to her.

@dbrn32 told me just yesterday that pot size matters I was going to use 5 gallon pots but he said he has seen people achieve high yields in a 3 gallon pot. I then decided to try both. The concern was that the plant would focus more on growing the root system in the larger pot instead of focusing on plant growth and vegging

Morning. From what I read. The miracle grow may be part of your problems. My autos only like a little food. And if I feed them to much. I end up with tiny plants. I normally toss them when I see that. Case in point. I have a Fruit punch auto in a 5 gallon pot. I didn’t pay attention to good and started feeding her like my 3 week olds. She basically froze how she was. She still looks healthy. But stopped growing. A smaller pot will get these growing faster on top, as a larger pot takes more time for the roots to grow. A 5 gallon is the largest I ever need for an auto. I have tried 7s before but it was a waste of coco for me. I have pulled 9 oz from an auto in a 3 gallon pot. That tells me a 5 is all I will ever need. @dbrn32 is right for lighting. My viparspectra 600 was only big enough to flower 1 plant in my tent. Mine covered a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 area for flower. Just a FYI. Before you even think about getting more lights. You should check out the QB or cobb lights. They cost a little more. But night an day grow wise compared to the Chinese LEDs. I do like the vipar for veg though.
I can only go by my experience here. For my vipars. Running just the veg switch doesn’t seem to give me enough good light for veg. if I run both all the time. My plants did really good. I am running a 450 vipar over my seedlings right now with both switches on. They are doing well like that.

This is my first good grow. It shows every one goes through ups and downs when learning. With the help I got in here. I was hooked, and now really enjoy growing. I learn a little with each grow still.
This has the 9 oz auto in it as well as my Blue Dreams and AK 47. Keep asking questions. They will always be answered in here. And normally pretty fast. Good luck with your grow, and you are still off to a good start.
Most of my autos tale about 14 weeks give or take. So you still have plenty of time left for these to grow

Some of them are designed for the roots to grow through, if that’s what you have that’s how I I would use them.

Exactly. MG strikes again. Although I have grown some good plants in the past with it, I have had far more problems :v:

That’ all any of us can do the day we stop learning is the day that we ourselves take a dirt nap, or need to find something else to do :v:
